Absolutely wonderful stay. Lovely clean , modern hotel with great facilities and great staff. Nijo on reception couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and Anja the breakfast waitress was friendly , kind and efficient . We had a great time here. Disclaimer: Building was still undergoing renovation during my visit. Building - Even with that, this one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The reception/lobby/restaurant/bar area on the ground floor carries a good style and clean design. With a little exploration there are wonderful meeting and conference rooms, which were not in use when I went for a wander. Ammenities - Poked my head in the gym, there is a gym. Room carried the essentials, well supplied with coffee and tea. Very handy for me as it was a packed weekend. I would double check towels, some of mine had marks. But solo traveller, I used the 'spare' set with no difficulty. Staff were professional and helpful at every encounter. Though I didn't go to the bar or restaurant on this trip. The appearance of the space is encouraging.

Yet another stay at this beautiful renovated city centre hotel. As always a very pleasant welcome on arrival and at check-in, plenty of easy parking (and not expensive). Beautiful spacious double room with en suite shower a bath and toiletries to hand, N/B no air conditioning presently, but given two large effective fans running through out the day to help maintain room airflow, room was serviced every day to maintain clean and crisp atmosphere. Breakfast served as a buffet along side a small A La Carte menu offering upgrades. Beautiful bar and reception area offering drinks or respite from city centre life.

The staff were brilliant- friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond for my partners Birthday, which was the reason for our stay. Absolutely stunning hotel, very well looked after and well maintained. Great location in the city centre. Next to shops and restaurants. Parking was easy, just 2 min walk to hotel. Receptionists made you feel very welcome, very helpful and friendly. Hotel room was very nice and spacious, bathroom was stunning just a shame no bath but overall excellent. Breakfast was probably the best hotel breakfast we have had. The lady serving at breakfast was by far the best member of staff, her name was Ania. She was amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The only down side to our weekend was a function which started at 4pm Saturday which was so loud and made the bed and chairs feel the base of the music. I did ask reception cause the rest of the hotel seemed quiet! We were given the wrong room, right above the function room. It continued till 12:20 when promised it would stop at 12midnight. So if you are booking make sure you ask if there is a function and to be allocated away from it. Apart from that an amazing hotel and would stay again.

Location is in city center. Overall condition is not a good as I saw on picture. Elevator is not working so we had to carry luggage to our room (staff did say they can help). We recently stayed for three days in this recently refurbished hotel. We stayed in Room 210. We found the room spacious and in a very good position overlooking the main thoroughfare in the shopping and restaurant area. It was during an exceptional heatwave and the air conditioning was superb in our room and throughout the hotel.It is an elegant hotel and quiet. We would particularly like to mention the staff at breakfast, at the bar and reception. In particular whilst we were there I also needed to carry out some work but needed a larger table in my room. Through the excellent and diligent attention on reception by Nijo Bastin the table and chair arrived very promptly. In fact, within minutes of my request. Also I needed some printing done and this again was dealt with extremely efficiently by Nijo and Sharon. Whilst we did not dine at the hotel we did have the breakfast each day and it was excellent. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay made even more pleasant by the staff. Needless to say, the Hotel is very centrally placed and is an extremely short distance from the main railway station. It was only a few minutes to walk along straight and level pavements to arrive at the hotel. The only thing we did not like was the TV. The remote was very temperamental making it very hit and miss in turning on the channels.

The lift was broken so the service lift was the only option. However the landing areas were 'behind the scenes' and poor quality. I did not much care for the long black hairs stuck to the walls of the shower from a previous guest. Clearly not a good cleaning regime. The shower has my pet hate. The shower controls are behind the door. You can't use them without being inside it and it is too small to avoid getting the inevitable blast of cold water that is living in the pipes before whatever the previous selected temperature lands on you. The breakfast was very good -freshly cooked and delivered on a plate. Not the usual buffet.

We had a really enjoyable stay at the Grand Hotel and would definitely return. Our room was exceptionally clean and clearly very well prepared—Kannika had done a fantastic job getting everything ready for our arrival. The room itself looked recently refurbished, with a fresh and modern feel that made it very comfortable. Despite being in the city centre, which can be quite noisy at night, we slept incredibly well. The windows did a great job of blocking out the outside noise, and we had two wonderfully restful nights with no disturbance from other guests either. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the service made it even better. The lady who served us, I believe her name was Anya, was delightful—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant, which made the experience even more enjoyable. There was a small inconvenience during our stay as the main lift wasn’t working, meaning we had to use the back lift. However, the reception team handled this very kindly by waiving the parking fee, which we really appreciated. It’s clear that the hotel is in the process of being updated. The main entrance and restaurant have been refurbished to a very high standard, while some areas like the corridors and staircases are still undergoing improvements. That said, this didn’t impact our stay at all, especially given how comfortable and well-finished our room was. Overall, a very positive experience—we would happily stay here again
