We drove all night from Arkansas for a family health emergency. We had made a reservation for that evening. We arrived in Rochelle at 9am and really needed to get some sleep before handling a tough situation. We I went to the front desk and explained the situation the front desk girl was so sweet and understanding and allowed us to check in early. We were very grateful!

I came from Wisconsin for the night and was expecting the pool to be open , per the site said it had a pool. Once we got there a sign was up said pool closed. Very disappointed.

The only thing I have is the door regulator on the rooms. It’s EXTREMELY STRONG making it hard to open and clumsy as well…. I want in and the door is saying “NO…STAY OUT” as it’s trying to close. It knocked me back into the hallway the first time as I had my hands full.

Clean and comfortable place to stay. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I was traveling with my daughter and dog and felt very safe, even taking the dog out in the middle of the night. Breakfast was also very good. I would definitely stay here again.

Our room was missing a remote, when we went to the front desk to ask about a replacement, their was no staff present at the desk and we had to say “excuse me,” to get helped. We were then met with attitude by the worker and it seemed like we were inconveniencing her. Same with check in. It took two different remotes to get one working and we had to propose the idea to get one out of an empty room. As we were looking for the remote, we found a dirty pair of socks that wasn’t ours, a dirty used qtip behind the bed and dusty vents. When we showered we had to clean crusted residue off the soap, shampoo and conditioner bottles to even use them. Simple things that really should not be getting missed between guests. The beds were also uncomfortable and we tossed and turned in pain all night long. It was such a shame expecting to go in and get the quality that goes with the name but we definitely didn’t get our moneys worth and there were several areas for improvement.

1) The owners of the property don’t allow any alcoholic in the downstairs lounge area. They only allow consumption in your room only because the State of Illinois and City of Rochelle IL confirms that right to room occupants. 2) the clothes washing machines were not operating. 3) the dairy products for breakfast were expired.

Hotel was clean but although the website and here stated there was a pool, the pool was not opened. When talking with the front desk associate he stated it was because it was too cold and “under maintenance”. There was another family that was staying and they stated that they stay there often and the pool is always “under maintenance”. If this is the case, it doesn’t need to be offered as an amenity on here or the website. We would not have booked here due to us having to pay a higher price for that amenity that is not useable. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable.

Nice stay except I couldn’t get the WiFi to connect with my laptop and my iPhone (yes, we had the password). Also had to go down to the desk to have one of our 2 room key/cards rescanned because it was not working.

We had to change rooms TWICE for a 2 night stay because of bugs in the rooms. Found bugs in the bed the first night so requested a room change. Then we had 30-40 flies and lady bugs in our 2nd room the next day after leaving for a few hours. I have no idea how they got in the room. I have pictures but there is no way to upload them on this review. I realize bugs are a part of life but there must be a problem at this property for them to be this bad.
