Great ski inn in Truckee
Terrific 4 night stay in Truckee. My 3rd in past few years. Older, but v. well-maintained, clean, & comfortable inn. Very convenient. Two shopping centers within 100 yards. Groceries, restaurants, CVS etc all within easy walking distance. Free TART stop for bus to-and-from Palisades/Tahoe and throughout Truckee an easy 10 min walk; no need to hassle with pkng at Palisades. Dowtown historic Truckee itself is only a 20 min walk. The inn is quiet, & has free breakfast, and 24 hr coffee service in the common area near fireplace.Lots of families. Comfortable bed. Great WiFi and cable TV. Friendly and helpful front desk. Price is about the lowest you'll find in the area, and a terrific bargain.

It's aight
It was a quick overnight to go skiing, we went on NYE so a bit pricey, but it was last minute so understandable. The key card stopped working, but staff was available to resolve it. Breakfast was not amazing, but acceptable.

Good hotel with enough amenities. Room service is not provided every day. Continental breakfast with 24/7 coffee machine. Rooms are quiet and pet friendly.

All three stars are for the beds, which were amazingly comfortable - deeply plush, stacked to the rafters with pillows, and bedding included a fleece. Employees (surly, but that may have just been my migraine fog) attempted to be helpful but could not manage to alter my booking from two nights to a single night despite paying on site, and charges were roughly $20 than quoted for unknown reasons. Heater ran loud and clunky most of the night despite being set at sixty, room smelled a lil funky. Breakfast service started late and consisted of prepackaged bagels and frozen burritos.

Good value
Good place. Will definitely stay here again. It’s not the most modern place but for the price it’s a good location and it’s relatively clean. Main complaint for me is thin walls, but same can be said for any hotel in this price range. Checkin and out super easy, great on-site parking. There is some freeway noise, not too bad. Just bring earplugs and all is fine.

Simple but clean
Let’s face it, the hotel has seen better days but you know, it was clean. What more can you ask for? The breakfast was super basic and largely forgettable.

Decent but deceptive
Decent hotel for the price. The website needs to be transparent about their 'pet-friendly' policy. Upon check-in the sign on the counter said pets would be charged a cleaning fee of $40 a NIGHT. When I asked for clarification about how that was possible since no where else on the website was this referenced the clerk said 'well that's the policy & the charge'. Really? Per night? That raises the reasonable price of the hotel room by 30%. Have never experienced anything but a flat one-time fee.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. But few things in the room could be improved. No hair dryer, too much light coming in through the window shades at night. Overall, the room left us much to be desired.

expensive for a 2* hotel but worked logistically
Staff was very nice and helpful, but it took us a while to get in our room because the door lock mechanism needed to have its batteries changed. Loved the nespresso machine and it was a much better Continental breakfast than others I’ve seen. The beds were comfortable but the hallways were dark and the rugs have seen better days.

Good budget motel in truckee
Tahoe is expensive. This is a budget and dog friendly alternative. No frills but staff is nice, rooms clean, and as convenient as it gets.

Perfect for ski outing!
No frills hotel that was perfect for skiing. It's centrally located with easy access to Palisades/Alpine and Truckee. Additionally, there is an HPC EV charging station 100 yards away. The breakfast is minimal but is fine for getting food and coffee in the morning. We'll be back in the future!
