My family and I stayed at Hotel Balestri for four days, and it was absolutely amazing. We were fortunate to book a corner unit with breathtaking views of the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio. Waking up to that stunning scenery each morning was truly unforgettable. The hotel’s location is ideal—just a few blocks from everything you’d want to see in Florence. The property is well-maintained, and the service was exceptional throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Davide at the bar, whose skill as a bartender and warm hospitality added to the experience. Hotel Balestri exceeded all our expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

they made everything right
we checked in to the hotel and i was surprised by the small lobby, but then saw the larger lobby on the other side of the small wall and it was fine for having drinks in the evening. the room -- with a balcony and river view-- was way too small for two people for 4 nights! I was so upset, you couldn't even open the balcony doors without them hitting the bed. I complained and by the next morning they were moving me to what they said was a "step down" -- a much larger room complete with sitting area, bathtub, larger bathroom, and a closet. the first room didn't even have a closet. I was ready to check out because i was so upset but they changed me and all was good from there on. nice breakfast set up and service. great location -- right on the river and literally a couple of blocks to Ufizzi and about 6 blocks to santa croce!

We loved this hotel! From the moment we walked into its gorgeous lobby and were greeted by their welcoming staff, we knew we had made an excellent choice! The room was large (by European standards) bedding comfy, very clean, very quiet and totally walkable to Ufuzzi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio Bridge, and all the shopping and delicious restaurants you could possibly hope for. We loved our three day stay and enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning, and relaxing in the beautiful lobby with comfy chairs and bar service in the evening. Taxi cab services are right outside the door (we never waited longer than 4 minutes) Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and then down service in the evening. Can’t say enough about the helpful staff, who were so friendly and knowledgeable about great places nearby to eat!
