Good for the price

Overall, everything was great. The location, the room, the kitchen/common area that allowed you to get some groceries and store them in the fridge. I even did a load of laundry, which was great. The only downsides were that things seemed to be broken a lot. The electric blind in my room didn't work, so the staff had to roll it up and jam it in the window so I wasn't sitting in a dark box. The shower water was only scalding hot, which meant that I had to just barely splash water on the important bits so I didn't get burned. And the coffee machine in the kitchen kept breaking. All in all, minor-ish things. The staff responded to things as fast and best they could, but it did diminish my experience. Now -- would I stay there again? Yes. But really, it's about the price. The only place in San Fran that's decent (quality) without costing a million dollars. If there were other options in the same price range, would I go there instead? Yeah, probably. Still worth staying here, though. I'm sure my experience was an anomaly.

Value priced Hotel Close to Union Square

The FOUND Hotel is on the edge of a sketchy area of SF but the hotel itself is relatively clean and safe. Definitely a "value" hotel, low rates for a basic room, sort of hostel for adults. My room was small, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and relatively modern. You need to bring your passwords for any streaming services you want to use (Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc.) otherwise you just get pretty basic local TV.

Excellent price but some trade-offs

Stayed for a week and only had to pay about $100/night which is amazing for SF, but there were some pros and cons. Room was clean, comfortable bed, and a nice big bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. But my room had no closet or wardrobe to hang clothes, and the ceiling did a poor job of quieting noise from above (I was hearing whole conversations).

Great price for SF

For the price, it was great. Good location, nice staff. Beds were comfortable and the coffee was a plus. Room needed a chair, the lights were all a bit bright and weird stains on carpet.

Staff were absolutely amazing. No parking is the only thing I wasn’t a fan of. Otherwise the rooms were nice, I love the walk in showers. The A/C was a little high tech for my fossil brain, but the front desk immediately assisted me which made my stay that much better. I plan to return here soon
