Unique and friendly inn
Cute little inn with delicious breakfast and dinner. Everything I ate was amazing. Staff is really friendly. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. Services were sometimes a bit limited however. On a couple slower days there was no dining available or no breakfast. Wouldn’t be a problem except there aren’t many options nearby either. I didn’t have a car so I would have to take the bus into Salzburg if I wanted to eat dinner. Just plan ahead and confirm dining schedule with the staff so you can make alternate arrangements for meals if necessary.

Nice find close to Eagle's Nest
This hotel is 700 years old of charm yet updated, but because of the historic value cannot have an elevator, but the stairs are fairly easy. The owner is very nice. There was a wedding the evening we stayed so the restaurant wasn't open. Once we closed the windows to turn in for the evening, we no longer heard the music. Nice quiet area. The breakfast was very good, If you have a Tesla, there's a tesla station right there.

Hidden Gem
Amazing location outside of Salzburg, beautiful mountain views. Buffet breakfast was delicious and so was the dinner menu. Cozy rooms, and very cute little hotel. We explored Salzburg, Eagles Nest and surrounding area. Easy access to all with public transit. Bit of a walk from the bus station, about 20 minutes, but very scenic walk.

Good - could have been better.
Nice hotel just a short journey from the centre of Salzburg. We happened to spend a night at the hotel when they had a wedding reception so it was rather noisy and very busy. Staff were slightly stressed which affected the level of service offered e.g. There was very limited choice on the restaurant menu and our food took a long time to appear. Also, common with the backward legislation in Austria, people are still allowed to smoke in the restaurant which also greatly detracted from our experience. However, the hotel is very well maintained and the reception manager was extremely pleasant and helpful - keeping a cool head when all others around her were losing theirs. Also the breakfast buffet was exceptional.

Great location and easy to find
Ideal hotel for Salzbourg if you don't want the hassle of driving into the centre and parking up. Was a ten minute bus drive and hotel staff helped with bus timetables so very easy.

Peaceful and comfortable
I loved the hotel. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel building is 700 years old but the renovations are up-to-date and modern, although there is no lift. The free wifi worked well and there is plenty of free parking. The hotel is located out of Salzburg, so is really only suitable for someone with their own car though it is on a public bus route. On the negative side, there is no fridge and the room was a little cramped when we had 4 people in the one room.

Great holiday in Salzburg
Fantastic hotel with a lot of history. Located just outside Salzburg made this a great place to stay for us on our driving holiday. We used it as our base to see Austria and bits of Bavaria. Very friendly staff, food was superb and even got given drinks for our journey on to Munich when we left. Rooms not air conditioned, but we did get a fan, so not as comfortable as it could have been but the temperatures where exceptional. Musts sees in area are Grossglöckner Hochalpinestraßer including return through mountain via motor rail, Saltbergwerk salt mine, Eagles Nest, Salzburg Fortress, Schloss Helbrunn (< 3 miles away) great fun on a hot day especially if you have young children!

Family hotel - great service & stay
We stayed here with our family for 3 nights. When we first checked in we were told they were out of family rooms which is what we booked. We were given a double room; which didn't work out since it was two separate rooms; we were traveling with our two boys; 3 yrs and 9 yrs. We requested another room and were given a family room with two separate twin beds for us and bunk beds for our boys. It worked out so much better. Breakfast was included in our stay; it was a wonderful breakfast buffet with plenty of breads, cereals, juice, pastries and coffee. Great view of the mountain from our hotel window.
