“For an ALL-inclusive resort, food and beverage services are a must have! The food at the various restaurants requiring reservations were below subpar, in comparison to other hotels including Riu resorts. The cuisine was lacking flavor, seasoning and not indicative of the countries they were supposed to be representing, e.g. Italian, Kulinarium, Steakhouse. Additionally all outside food stations and buffet restaurants were on the one same side of the resort. Thus guests on the far side were forced to leave their living areas for full meals or even a simple snack like jerk chicken and rice. Unlike other Riu, the late night food options were barely edible and definitely not fulfilling e.g. plain nacho chips, deli sandwiches with a slither of meat. Often there were no food options for guests since the refrigerator food and area were not continuously replaced. The ice machines on every floor were broken! Unacceptable! So if guests required ice “after hours”, the only option was to go to the sports bar on the other side of the resort- quite a long walk. And where is the redbull drink options? After all this location is in Jamaica.”
