The apartment itself was clean, spacious, updated and pretty. The hosts do keep in communication with you.
However, they don’t clearly say in the description how high up the apartment is, with no elevator. It’s the “5th floor” and about 85 steps up. I didn’t realize this when I booked it or I wouldn’t have booked it. I had to partly unpack my bag and make 3 trips up and did the same when leaving. I definitely got my workout! It’s a bit of a bummer especially when running around the city all day. The first 2 flights are dimly lit, the lights don’t really make it there and those are the most uneven steps.
There is no clothes dryer, but a decent small washing machine. Also, I realize it’s an old building with old pipes, but I the shower changed from hot and cold quicker than when you see a cop doing 80mph.
Additionally, the first day I questioned the area as a drug deal went down by some random people while I was waiting for the person with the keys. However, it seemed a one off and the location is actually decent!
Would I stay again? Maybe if I only had a backpack.
