It was an ok stay

Stay was ok. What they fail to tell you BEFORE you book the room is that it is a SHARED house. You have to share the living area and kitchen with whoever else is there. The bathroom for the King Suite is accessible to everyone in the house and you have to go out of the room to access yourself. We were lucky that nobody booked the other area while we were there so we did have the house to ourselves. The directions they give you are not correct so you're likely to get lost the first time you go, so it is best to make sure you can check in during the day before it gets dark. They tell you if the kitchen/living area are not clean, you will be charged $100, but if you're sharing with other people, how do they know who made the mess and who to charge. It would be a better place if the owners gave a better description of what you're getting before you reserve it.

Retro Blues and Country Flare

This was supposed to be a quick one day stay on our way passing through the town, and it was great! It was clean, quaint, and it had very interesting decor. We loved the vintage feel and I played Earth, Wind, and Fire and the other blues albums on the record player several times. I also took interest to some of the books that were so graciously offered there to read. Overall, it was a very cozy spot and I would recommend to anyone who wants a simple, peaceful stay with a retro country flare, good books, and music.

Clean And Cozy

We enjoyed the place so much that we ended up booking an additional day. Cozy, clean, quiet, and well worth the money. I'll definitely be going back when in the area. Loved the King Suite with private bathroom, private entry, and cleanliness of all rooms. Lovely place.

Nature lover's dream

It's a lovely, relaxing place to stay. I am here on business and was able to enjoy the peace of the abundant nature around me while I worked a bit. There is an eco-conscious vibe here which I enjoy. Lots of community space. Non-toxic cleaning supplies and everything you need in the kitchen to make your own food if you're like me and don't eat at restaurants. You could literally stay here the entire time and never have to leave - making it your actual vacation spot! Lots of things to do in the area for those coming for exploration. I booked a few more nights... so far, so good! GMM

Worth figuring out....it was a great stay.

the only problem and I noticed one other person had it too is the check in communication. I came in the dark and for what ever reason I didn't get my email at first with the door code.I had a terrible time trying to contact anyone and then my phone started beeping and in came some texts. Other than that I loved the place it had exactly what my sister and I needed. But a couple days later a couple women in a car stopped and couldnt figure out what was going on and where their place was they were extremely frustrated. I told them not to give up that our place was lovely and it was worth the frustration.

It is an excellent place tucked just out of the city, but close enough that you dont even have to drive 10 minutes to be back in it.

Felt like we were staying at an old farmhouse out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature and away from the hustle and bustle. It was a great escape!

Quiet house outside of town

A quiet place to stay in my college town for homecoming. I enjoyed my stay. The room I had shared some common space with other guests - including our bathroom. It is not a deal breaker for me, but feel you should know. The room I had was on the bottom floor. It would be great to rent the other part as a group.

Hidden Gem!

This was our third visit, and we absolutely love this hidden gem! It’s like staying at your cool great-aunt’s house! So much better than a boring, bland hotel!

The cons of staying in this cabin

The stay was cool but there was no towels. The thermostat couldn’t be read. We couldn’t get the door to lock so we had to make sure we didn’t leave anything valuable. A few strangers came by because they couldn’t find their cabins. There was a blow up bed that didn’t have a way to be blown up. The bedroom door was wide open when we got there and it was a bit late so that was unsettling. The fire and the hammock were the best part of this place.

Definitely a nice area! Very much in the rural side of town so the closest gas station is 10 minutes away into the college, other than that’s it’s awesome for people who love the outdoors! There will be bugs! We didn’t see any inside the room but definitely outside there was!
