Overall comfortable
Comfortable bed, room needs a bit of a tidy up. Paintwork chipped here & there, window in bathroom totally broken. Service rather slow.

NO SPA
This hotel does NOT have a spa. Hotel.com is deliberately misleading on this point. The spa is a 15-20min walk or 5-10min drive. Hotels.com is aware but still haven't changed the info. you are made aware of this on the hotels own website but that's not useful when booking through hotels.com. Other than that a perfectly nice hotel.

Tired room & expensive room rate
Hotel was cold on arrival & our bedroom was extremely cold also. I was able to turn the radiator on, something I think could have been done prior to our arrival. The room was clean but sadly very tired, smelt old & had cracks in bathroom floor and a wardrobe that was really small that wouldn’t fit our clothes in, due to the iron & ironing board, iron, extra pillows and blankets stored inside. After a 3 hour journey- arriving at 830am no mention of any restaurant availability & a rushed checkin Wake-up call was asked for, but that never happened. In the morning we also had 3 ladybirds in the room crawling on the ceiling, . the hotel could do with some refurbishment to bring it up to 2025!! As it is very dated and an expensive room rate.

Not bad but a bit one the cool side in December
The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. Room was a bit on the cold side better than too warm. Breakfast was okay but I’ve had better. Location is good easy access to town centre if your catching a train you need to allow 30 mins from checking out of the hotel to been on the platform which is a leisurely walk for an able bodied person. It’s a 10 minute walk to local auction. Staff were helpful without been over the top.

Stayed at this hotel before, tucked out of the way but close enough to the local shops and pubs/Restaurants. staff were pleasant andcattentive, nice spacious comfy room, Breakfast was clean and tasty with a wide choice, all in all a good stay, my only slight negative is the parking, spaces are limited, however if people parked sensibly and not selfishly , there would be ample space .
