It has the feel of a charming old dorm or hostel with lots of nooks and crannies and a beautifulcommon kitchen. Pleasant indoor/outdoor seating spaces. Close to LOTS to see and eat. Only loses a star because the parking was very tight, and litterly down, around the corner, and under the building - not so easy in/out of. I would STILL stay here again!

What a cute little property to relax in and enjoy the area. Practically right next door, there was live music and lots of vibes in the evening and then we got to experience the great farmers market Saturday morning. Very helpful and friendly staff, and amenities like the kitchen and laundry room were clean and well kept. Having an AC unit in the room was really nice as well, since it was very warm and humid at the time we had our trip. There’s a gate to access the property, so it feels extra secure in the downtown area, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Lots of attention to the little things that make a place cozy.

It was sort like a college dorm.. There was no sink in bathroom which was crazy. The sink was in room like a kitchen sink. So you had to wash dishes and brush teeth in same space. Lighting was ok. We see see a huge cockroach when we were packing up to leave. Forgot to mention to front desk. Front desk was very nice, and the location was great. But the place needs to be cleaner for sure. We also found a piece of trash and old shaver under chair. Price was fine but I rather pay more...for Budget conscience travelers. Not sure I’d go back.

The location of the hotel is absolutely excellent. You can easily walk to many places, and I also used Uber quite a lot during my stay. It was very easy to get to different parts of the city from the hotel, as the main roads were fairly close by, which made getting around much quicker. The area also felt safe, which was a big plus. I also appreciated that, when I needed to wait for an Uber, I could do so inside the hotel grounds, behind the gates. The Uber drivers could easily pull up right in front of the hotel, which made pickups very straightforward. The room itself was basic but comfortable and had everything I needed. The hallways were a little dull, but honestly, I didn’t spend any time there anyway. Overall, the location, easy access to different parts of the city, and the convenient Uber pickups were some of the highlights of my stay.

Our stay was so lovely! The room was a little small but it had everything we needed for a weekend away. The location was excellent! Walking distance to Little Italy and lots of great restaurants. We felt safe and secure with locked gate and someone at the front desk almost all the time. Staff were very friendly. Room was clean. There’s a shared kitchen and water dispenser downstairs, which we really appreciated! The only few small down sides were the slightly loud AC and restroom without a ventilation fan. Overall, it’s a good value for the price. Would highly recommend and stay again!

Perfect spot to stay for 1 night while we were in downtown SD for a concert. The Rady shell was walking distance (about a 30 min walk). So many great restaurants in the area. It reminds me of staying in hostels while traveling through Europe. Communal kitchen and spaces. Great deal. We would definitely stay here again.

The best part of staying at Little Italy Inn is the location! Literally a block away from so many restaurants, cafes and bars! The room was small but clean and staff helpful. They allowed late check in when we got caught near the harbor making our way back. It is less than a minute to Farmers Market on Wednesday and Saturday with great food options to try. We will be back!
