Stayed two nights. It’s an older propert so it has some wear. But it was clean. Comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a short drive to the park and McDonald Observatory.

This property was very deceptive. The outside is a little rough around the edges with some shaggy landscaping and weathered exterior. That all went away when we opened the door to our room. The monster sized tv with all kinds of channels available, beautiful new flooring, and awesome night stands with outlets and hookups for devices and charging. There was a slight issue with chords not being plugged into outlets that needs to be addressed. The breakfast area was small but clean and well stocked with tasty food. The mountain view behind the property is amazing but is not really utilized. The RV hookup area is trashy and there are picnic tables but they are placed on the edge of the parking lot and aren't very inviting. The property has access to great views of the sunrise but nothing is set up for guests to enjoy them. This property reflects what we saw in the community a lot of unrealized potential. As I say that I don't want it to end up like the Hill Country where everyday people get priced out of the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful natural beauty.

Super clean, super cute motel. Mattresses comfortable. We came in super late and the owner was very nice about us choice ping in late. Traveling with a toddler and things just always seem to take longer. Traveling with a trailer and had no issues parking it.

It was close to all the sites we wanted to see. The staff were very good and our room was very clean. The breakfast was continental, but it had fresh fruit and a very good Jimmy Dean, sandwich. If we come back to that area, we plan to stay there again.

Accommodations are very basic, breakfast included: Bread, cold cereal, bananas, packaged breakfast sandwiches to be microwaved or refrozen for the next day. Regular basic cleaning: towels changed, bed made, trash taken out. Generally clean. Biggest gap in service was the lack of cleanliness of the room floors.

I wasn't expecting much & I wasn't disappointed. It's a good, affordable place to stay for the night but i wouldn't stay longer. I'm a light sleeper and there were a lot of creaks, fridge noises, & other things going on. I didn't get good sleep but my kiddo did. Breakfast is very simple; some fruit, cereal, & muffins...better than nothing.
