We had made a Vrbo reservation back in July for this weekend. Things happen and the owner had taken there place off of Vrbo unbeknownst to us. We booked this hotel at the last minute and were very pleased. Ended up even closer to our family and the wedding venue we travelled in for. Vrbo, hotels.com and Hilton took excellent care of us.

A beautiful, art deco hotel
Me and my wife love old hotels and this is one of our favorite we’ve ever been to. Beautiful building! Nicolas checked us in and gave us OUTSTANDING service. I never leave reviews, but this stay warranted it. This is our first choice next time we’re in the Tampa area

Avoid this hotel
Worst hotel stay in my life - and I have travelled a lot.. The hotel is being upgraded, but there were safety issues eg: The center handrailing on the hotel entrance (inside) was loose. When I checked-in, I asked if my Hilton Honors number was in the reservation. They said no, so I gave it to the front desk person and told him to add it. I was also told that basic internet was free. Upon checkout, they said because I booked through hotel.com, they could could not add my HH #. I was additionally charged $30 per day "destination fee" - which they said was for the internet and beverages etc. They had already told me the basic internet was free when I checked in and the room fridge was empty. There were 2 small water bottles on the table. I will never stay at a Hilton property again.

Stay away until construction is complete
Didn’t see it listed on Hotels site, and would not have stayed there if it was listed. There is a major renovation going on, with scaffolding outside entire hotel with bright lights on every floor blazing into the room. No way to stop it with curtains. Constant noise and extremely inefficient valet. Got car multiple times and each time they didn’t respond to text and took way too long to get vehicle. Hotel is very old, restaurant, coffee shop and staff were great but the noise, construction and awful shower were too much.
