Charming getaway

A charming little hotel. Absolutely wonderful service. You could see the age in some parts, but it was still lovely. The lobby is a beautiful time capsule. Anything we needed we got within minutes.

This is a nice place to stay. Conveniently located near all the shops and restaurants. The only drawback was we couldn’t drink our wine in the sitting room by the lobby. I am not sure why as it’s the perfect location to socialize with friends & family.

Comfortable but not excellent

The bed was fairly comfortable, but room was somewhat stuffy. Radiator heat was off, but room still seemed warm. Also, walls are thinner than I would expect and you could hear neighbors in the early hours. Lobby is charmingly decorated in turn of the century style.

Not amazing.

Not the best. Location was amazing...room was clean. I recieved an upgrade upon check in but the room was not what i would have booked. The room was NEXT to the restaurant entrance for the hotel so i was unable to open the blinds without people looking thru my window. Room was beautiful but old and very dark. Spa bathtub was a nice surprise though. Restaurant noise and the scent of marajuana was annoying. I tried to have dinner on the rooftop but was denied a menu due to a wedding. Beautiful property, i might give them a second chance sometime

Lovely hotel, but a few things to know

The hotel is beautiful. Our room was amazing. My #1 issue is that the parking lot for overnight guests has less spots than rooms in the hotel. 3 times I had to find street parking, and it was a very busy weekend. My closest walk was 7 mins and my longest 15. And the first time I tried I drove around for more than an hour looking for ANYWHERE to park. So, be smart before booking this hotel if you’re not up for that. Second thing: only electric baseboard heat. Very tough to manage the temperature in the room. And last, no coffee maker and no coffee shop or in lobby. You need to go across the street and it doesn’t open until 6:30am. That’s about an hour later than I want coffee.
