This is our second time staying at this property and loved it just as much as we did the first time. The food is great, the beach and surrounding area is perfect fro a quite time away from everyday life. Their shuttle service to the nearby town is perfect. And its a short distance away even if you want to hire a taxi/tuk-tuk to go on your own. Would recommend this and go back, for sure.

This is one of the bestest family friendly Marriott resorts we have been to. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The breakfast is awesome. They serve hot Indian breakfast too. They also serve hot Thai curries and soups during the breakfast. The hotel staff did their best to comfort my mother who is on wheelchair and cannot walk. The room assigned to us was not wheelchair accessible and the hotel staff changed it quickly upon our request. The location of this resort is close to the airport and can be reached within 10 mins drive. The only negative for this hotel is the ocean view. The beach is visible from the hotel; however, it is a little bit of walk to the beach. The water is shallow and kids can definitely enjoy. Please note, this resort is up in north and 35 mins away from Patong and other nearby attractions.

NO BEACH - Misleading photos
There is NO BEACH here... The primary photos on the website are incredibly misleading. What looks like a large expanse of sand is actually mud. The water is probably 50 yards out and only accessible after walking across muddy ground - definitely not the paradise that it appears from the main photos. There is a beach within a 15-20 minute walk, but the signs about sand flies dissuaded us from making the trek. If you are looking for a hotel where you get immediate access to a beach in front of the property, this is NOT IT. We ended up spending most of the time in the pool as a result, which was pleasant, but not what the photos led us to believe. Overall, the rest of the hotel is great. Rooms are nice, and the pool is clean. The restaurants are decent and the breakfast buffet is massive. With the exception of rather spongy baked goods, the breakfast buffet is worth the cost. Lastly - this hotel is off the beaten path. It takes ~15 minutes to get to the little town north, even though it looks super close on the map. It's also 45 minutes to Phuket city - so plan accordingly. If you are looking for a nice property with a pool and decent view (but no beach) and don't plan on leaving often, this is a great option. Otherwise, you may want to optimize for beach access and/or proximity to the city center.
