Great hotel especially for the price
The hotel was in a good location, although I was told it was not the safest area I felt safe within the hotel. I would walk around alone during the day fine. Would not recommend walking around GDL too late though in most places. The hotel was very clean and had more than enough amenities. I enjoyed the restaurant with room service as well. most of the employees do not speak English though, but most people in Guadalajara don't seem to speak English compared to other places I have visited in Mexico.

Good for the money
Staff spoke no English but were very friendly and kind as I used my limited Spanish. Having a Walmart at the end of the block was good

Convenient, clean, and inexpensive hotel
We stayed here while attending a convention about 2 blocks away at the Hotel Mision Carlton. Hotel Estadio was convenient and inexpensive. The front desk staff were very nice, and they securely checked our bags for us at 7 AM when we arrived but before we could check in yet. The room was small and simple but clean. They bed was a typical Mexico bed (fairly firm) but it was NOT the worst I have ever stayed on. Pillows are way too large and hard, though! The bathroom had a small shower only, which was fine, although the shower head sprayed every which way except down. We were very busy each day so we never even used the TV or restaurant on site, but the breakfast smelled good each morning. There is a Walmart very near by which is great for convenience. It is also super easy to catch Uber from here for rides. My biggest complaint was on our last day, there was a penetrating smell of vehicle exhaust throughout the hotel, including our room. This was the only day it happened, and I don't know why. There is a parking garage next door which may have contributed.

Bad!
The ladies at the reception never greeted us very condescending attitudes. They also never gave us the wifi password so we didn't have access to use our maps to locate anything.

Very near from all publics transportations.
The street of the hostel is not recommanded, but it is right next recommanded parts. Air quality might be not good sometime. The food in the restaurant is good.

A regular hotel
The rooms are clean but old, the ac works but it was not sufficient for the humid/hot weather. In my humble opinion, the hotel is not situated in a family oriented place (several bars and a strip bar almost right across it). The staff was great but the surrounding atmosphere and businesses are not. We cancelled after the first night and decided to move to a better situated hotel.

Okay BUT...
Hotel was nice and clean BUT the mattress and pillows were SUPER HARD. Woke up with stiff neck. We left the privacy sign hanging on the door nob "do not disturb" and they still entered to clean our room when we were not there.
