Pay a little more a go somewhere else.

The place is fine, well located. When we came over, the place was empty, we were waiting for someone to come over to open the doors for more than 20 minutes. When they finally did, the owner was very unpleasant, always repeated that we took the economy room... All the rooms was quite the same... There was also a small kitchen that he locked in front of our eyes... Probably because we took the economy room. There was also an elevator with a key that only the stuff could use, so when we have ended our trip we took our bags and trollies by ourselves and used the stairs.

Nice and clean

It was good value for money, nice location close to central station but still walking distance from main attractions. Super friendly service. The only thing to keep in mind is to check in before 22:00! Our flight got cancelled so we were late and needed to pay 30€ extra, which almost doubled the first night’s cost. Not sure if the room was worth 65€ a night. So if you want to play it safe, better to find a place with 24/7 service to avoid extra costs.

We had a very short stay in Rome (3 people, only 3 nights), and Artemis Guest House was the perfect fit for a short term stay! Especially since we weren’t planning on staying in the actual room for very long. Our room was small, but easy to cool down (it was hot in the city during our visit), and clean. There’s a refrigerator, tea kettle and some dish ware available for use for guests in the common area, which was very nice. Roberto was very understanding and was able to check us in late, which was greatly appreciated!! And even pointed out popular spots around the city, letting us know where to find a good money exchange place, restaurants, etc. Overall, highly recommended !

Great budget guest house

Nice guest house positioned in a large apartment style building on a main road. Once you are inside its very quiet though. Met by a friendly host, but didn't see him or anyone else except for the housekeeping for the rest of our stay. The room was clean but basic, perfect for a short stay if all you need is somewhere to shower and sleep. We were able to leave luggage and return later to collect. Would stay again.

Got what we paid for.

This felt more like an air Bnb than a hotel. We had no contact with our host aside for the first five minutes of our stay. The rooms were made up every day. We were told to be very quiet and not disturb the other guests - though it was midnight and we did have two young kids with us. The coffee was awful. The room was nice and very presentable. The pillows were very hard. I wish there were front desk service - we needed boarding passes printed for our flight out and had to find a print shop in Rome. The location is within walking distance of all the major sites including the colleseum and Trevi fountain. Overall good stay.

Location was spot on, right near all the sights that you would expect to visit in Rome. The guest house owner was very helpful and upgraded our room as it was out of season. Room was near the Metro as well as the bus stop so getting around was very easy.

Good central location.

We found it a little difficult to find but once there we were very pleased. Lovely building, very pleasant room which was very clean and had all we needed. It was spacious and had a safe. In the hallway there was tea, coffee, juice and water available. Artemis is close to the termini station and also not far from the coliseum. Great central location. Although near busy roads the room was so peaceful which is just what we needed after walking all day. The staff were very helpful and polite. We were really pleased with our choice. We would stay here again.

Lovely hotel. Clise to sights

Problems finding hotel but sooner reassured by a plead to Roberto on the telephone. Offered an upgrade for only an extra 5.00E which we accepted. Great clean quite historic hotel marble staircase old lift. Opportunity of breakfast in the mornings helpful lady in charge. Would recommend to friends & family.

Hostel not a B&B

Booked to larger rooms in this hotel. Looked through the photos of the rooms and thought they looked lovely. Unfortunately the rooms shown in the description were not the same. The dicription of the B&B is not accurate, in fact the photos and description is of totally different premises. When we got there (a party of 4 woman) there was confusion about our booking. We were told that there wasn't two rooms together. One large room and one small room, the small room being the others side of the building. We were also told that there was no breakfast and there wasn't any such thing as as booking a larger room. Even though I had the paper work to show that we had book both of these. We were then offered two rooms somewhere else and were told that they were like an apartment. We agreed to look at them and were then taken out of the building and around the corner to anthere building which was like something out of the bronks in New York. We were shown to basic rooms with a wc and a shower but nothing else not breakfast was included. The owner keep on insisting that none of his properties offered breakfast yet it is clearly advertised as being included. We were then told that it was nice because he (the owner) had a room there himself. Needless to say we were not very happy and declined the rooms and couldn't get out quite enough. We the returned to the original building which is a multi shared apartment block and asked to see the large room he had.

Basics and nothing more

Good location however difficult to locate hotel. Also wi-fi was very poor and keeps cutting out approximately ever 45 seconds. No tv or radio in room & no breakfast as stated. This hotel was only saved by the location. It's is worth staying but keep expectations real low as disappointment will follow.

In the center close to everything you need

The beginning may have started rough, I arrayed ate receptionist left ~9pm, so I couldn't get in. But after making contact with the help out another hotel receptionist 30m down the street who food their correct telephone number, not the one listed by Orbitz, things improved~

Just nice...

Quite a difficult hotel to find but once found it's in a good location to transport links and tourist attractions. Security is pretty good there with your own safe if you need it. Key is needed to open 3/4 sets of doors before you get to your own room. The man who greeted us when we pushed the buzzer for entry, I'm presuming is the manager, wasn't all that welcoming but he was informative. Gave us all the info we needed to unlock each door and recommended a local restaurant to us (which we never went to). Told us info about housekeeping and complimentary tea and coffee in the morning. Housekeeper was playing a really loud video on her phone at around 6/7 in the morning once which we weren't too happy about. She turned it down when we asked her to anyhow. Other than that no other problems. Towels were clean and provided although not changed everyday. The room we had was basic but nice, bathroom was stylish apart from the missing half of a shower door so water went all over the floor. Bed was comfy although some springs were popping through (I had one dug in my back all the time we were there) not complaining after a full day of walking though! Heating/air con is included in the room which is remote controlled. All in all the hotel was fine. Not amazing not awful, just fine. Probably would go somewhere else if I visit rome again purely because I like to change things up, but for the price I paid it could have been far far worse

We stayed in the economy room - very small but the bed was a double and the bathroom a good size and what more do you want that central! 10mins walk to colosseum. Could keep bags there even if checked out! Hard to find!
