It has a swimming pool which is regularly cleaned. The problem when I was there (2nd to 6th June 2019) is that there was a damn fiesta next door so very loud music and bad karaoke going on until around 3am for 5 days. There was also a wedding so cars driving in and people going into the function room where there was more loud music but at least that was during the day. Another small problem for me was, being a westerner, finding food that didn't upset my stomach! Even noodles and vegetables did it once. There is a place very close outside which is cheaper than the hotel charge for food but no menu and it changes from day to day but having said all that, the place was immaculate and clean, the staff friendly and helpful and I would recommend the Bayview to anyone staying in Ormoc. It's only about 5 minutes away from the pier too and at least the 'taxis' know where it is. :)

I made a mistake in mt hotel booking
The initial room was beside a extremely busy road.
I 'upgraded' to a room with a blocked toilet that I had to unblock myself.
The shower was cold only and the water pressure was minimal a little better than a trickle.
There was no change of linen during the week I was there.
There was no access to view tv.
Wifi worked for almost an hour per day.
On the positive side, the air con cooled the room quickly
Cold beer was available from reception.
The Hotel grounds and landscaping over shadowed the accommodation by far.

On arrival was told i couldnt have room as no booking. Finally when they found the booking they told me i would have to pay more as the nightly rate i paid with expedia was to low.
Staff very un helpful couldnt book a taxi to airport or any request was always replied with sorry sir cant do that.
Room very basic would only be cleaned if you asked for it to be cleaned several days not made up until requested.
Room door lock broke through no fault of our own just very bad cheap materials but the hotel still charged me for a new one.
Overall very basic only stay if no other option available

Tiny felt ripped off.
I made mistake booking owner would not work with me at all. Room too small!! I booked for three. They show this tiny room that will not take three. Then show me little bit bigger room but want more pesos. Over all this place should rent for half the price they are asking. Only thing going for it is not bad location for our stay.

The grounds were very neat, the room was small with only 1 plug used for TV and cable. Bathroom shower area dripped all night. broken out glass in bathroom window. Very noisy with people in pool and back-side of hotel room with loud music late and early in morning. NO view of Bay. Dirty Ocean area!

Kleines Hotel am Rande der Stadt. Personal freundlich und bemüht. Zimmer renovierungsbedürftig. Pool ungepflegt und damit nicht nutzbar. Frühstück wird von außerhalb geholt. kein Restaurant im Hotel.

Upon arrival I was informed that in order to have hot and cold I had to pay an extra700+ per day to get a room with hot shower they didn't once clean the room or change the bedding therefore I was not satisfied with bayview though I do admit the service in general was fine and the area had lots of local street food vendors which I do enjoy

Excellent Customer Service
We arrived at the hotel later than the usual check in and was informed that Expedia has not yet informed them of our booking. Apparently the room we booked was already booked and no other standard room with two beds are available at that time. They originally arranged for us to be in a standard room with matrimonial bed, which I agreed since we were already there, but upon seeing that the room was at the 2nd floor with steep stairs to climb and I have with me my post-stroke father which has difficulty in walking (he just got out of the hospital and we needed to stay at a hotel until we can book our flight back to manila), they immediately arranged for us to be at the nearest room on the ground floor. The only thing I have a complain about is that the sink is leaking. All else, is okay and customer service is excellent.
