Good but patience required
The overall experience was nice but there were a few challenges. The photos of the rooms shows them fully furnished but in ours, it was like the room was just put together: there were only furniture items such as the bed and couches. There were no side tables, there was no artwork, and other than the bedroom no lamps; we could turn on bright ceiling lights or sit in the dark. Additionally, despite the no smoking rules, people on our floor were people smoking pot in the hallways which made it into the entire floor. The lack of on-site staff and windows that couldn’t be opened made it a huge annoyance. For the price, it was worth it. Otherwise, it would get a much lower rating.

Convenient, Clean, and Spacious!
What a fabulous stay at Sonder! The apartment was spacious and well-stocked with everything we needed for our week in NOLA. We loved the location on Canal street that gave us easy access to everything we wanted to visit. A quick walk to the French Quarter and an easy streetcar/bus ride to Magazine Street, the WWII Museum, and City Park. Enjoyed having a kitchen in our apartment, plus a washer and dryer, and access to the rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed dinner one evening. Inside the apartment sound carried loudly from the elevators and hallways, but it was otherwise peaceful and a delightful place to stay. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Love this place!!
We absolutely loved this place! It was so clean so big so roomie and it had everything you needed. Fantastic location right on Canal Street. Only a few blocks to bourbon Street or an eight dollar Uber. Parking at the hotel was valet at $50 plus tax but right across the street on Canal was a $15 a night parking lot we were able to pay for the whole week upfront and come and go as we wanted. Highly recommend we will be back!

Stay away from this place!
My husband and I booked a four-night stay, attracted by the apartment-style amenities and spacious layout. However, upon entering our room (which we paid extra for early check-in), we were immediately overwhelmed by a strong marijuana smell. The odor was so intense that we had to step out into the hallway. Despite reporting the issue to the front desk and the Sonder app, no action was taken, and management never followed up. With no available room change, we had to rely on an air freshener from housekeeping, but the smell was deeply embedded in the furniture. Beyond the odor, the room was dusty and poorly maintained, triggering unexpected allergy symptoms for both of us. The grout on the floors, originally white, had turned black from dirt, and the air quality was terrible. Housekeeping essentials, like laundry detergent, were not replenished, and even requesting fresh towels required paying a steep cleaning fee. This place has great potential due to its spacious layout, but the lack of cleanliness and poor management response made our stay uncomfortable. If you have allergies or expect basic hygiene standards, I would not recommend staying here.

Huge room!
We enjoyed our stay. The room was huge! Just a heads up that check in was a little confusing. Sonder is actually in the Jung Hotel and the entry door not on Canal St., but on LaSalle. When you winter, the Sonder elevators are the furthest on the left. The Jung people were very helpful.
