The Sheraton Grand Rio is an excellent choice in Rio de Janeiro, with beautiful views and all amenities one could desire (excellent tennis courts, beautiful pool area, good restaurants, nice lounge and fitness/wellness area). Staff is very friendly an d the rooms are comfortable. Would stay there again.

Beachfront hotel

Very large room with partial ocean view. Free bottled water daily. The hotel is generally well maintained and staff were always helpful. We opted to add in breakfast however there was little variety and one toaster was simply not enough for a hotel of that size. Spa was very nice with extra facilities to use. There is an extra resort fee on top of reservation although this includes a free drink & discounts. The hotel is located a little out the way from the main beaches however only a short taxi ride. There is a beach at the resort. This is public but security overlook it from the hotel. Concierge offer different tours at very reasonable prices. Would recommend!
