old lovely renovated hotel, but security was bad. Keys left with a butler on each floor, my butler never there. Key in drawer, anyone could have got key and stolen things from my room.
Dinner was not good, chicken in curry dry and hard, desert not heated up enough. Breakfast superb. Not worth the price. Gym not open 24 hours.

A suite at the Strand feels like having your very own luxury home in Yangon. The hotel is a destination in its own right and you want to make sure to make time just to take in the ambience. Don’t miss this historic site beautifully restored with contemporary comfort.
The staff are extraordinarily welcoming and helpful and the butler service is like having a guardian angel or Jeeves right outside. You can discuss your plans and goals of your journey and the butler knows how to figure out everything...and mix your drink!
The restaurant is wonderful too with a delicious breakfast. For lunch, be sure to sit by the window and try the mutton curry; you will feel a wave of complete contentment settle over you.

The Treasure of Yangon!
Fantastic, dream hotel - definitely 5 star!! The staff are amazing and rooms really spacious and clean with lovely L'Occitane cosmetics. It was a real joy to stay here and the 24hr butler service is simply amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and we were treated like royalty! We made the most of the facilities - enjoyed a wonderful couples massage, swam in the lovely pool after a good day of sight-seeing and had cocktails and a game of billiards in Sarkies Bar in the evenings. Meals were really good - a lot of variety on the menus and good quality ingredients. All baked goods are made on the premises and we had authentic French croissants and breads everyday. Ideally located within easy access of major tourist sites. Local and hotel taxis are readily available.

Real luxury in a beautiful Colonial era building
Amazing hotel, attentive but not overbearing staff, great food, beautiful pool, good WiFi. What more can you ask for? Downtown Yangon is. Ugh more interesting and atmospheric than the neighborhoods further out toward the airport.

Colonial elegance & great spa
Beautiful character in this hotel and the staff are so welcoming. I tested out the newly opened spa and the treatment was fabulous with such attention to detail by the staff.
I had specific dietary needs and the staff were only too pleased to assist and accommodate me .
The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated.

Lovely stay in strandon.
A fantastic hotel with a nice room, luscious breakfast and friendly staff. The location is a bit far away from some spots. If you are a night stall food person, you can taste the food at night. I am fond of the reception area, full of colonial styles and the decorations make Yiu feel relaxed surely. The bar is spectacle and you can take a nap with high quality drinks in your hand after a walk in the city. Dun worry, all the staff are so willing to provide you with advice and suggestions.
Renovated Colonial style hotel from 1901 run to perfection by Mark the ops manager. Fantastic staff, the butler service is warm and executed perfectly. Rooms are roomy, bright with great beds and a nice bar.
The Strand Café is a great cafe, not to miss for afternoon tea! A must do in Yangon.
The Strand Restaurant had a 4 course set dinner in French style and both well presented and great tasting. A great wine list.
For sure one of the better hotels in the world!!
