4/10 Fair

The staff was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Once you leave the lobby though the hotel is really run down. The room I was in was not clean, with a lot of random stains on the walls/towels/appliances/etc. The a/c did not seem to work at all so the room was really stuffy. The bed sagged a lot in the middle so I had to sleep on the far edge. The streaming option on the television did not work but thankfully the WiFi did. I only stayed for one night so I didn't bother to request a new room. Additionally, I'm not sure if this is a city thing or a Portland thing but for some reason the attached restaurant was not open on Monday or Tuesday so I was not able to dine there during my stay. I'll repeat though that the staff was absolutely wonderful and if I has planned to stay longer I have no doubt that they would have helped me to get a new room.

Great location, Pet friendly, Nice restaurant
We've stayed at this hotel a number of times and enjoy it for the price, location, comfort and amenities, and because they are super pet friendly. Their restaurant has excellent food and the evening bartender was a wiz with cocktails. If you're travelling with a dog, there's really no better spot. The hotel is right across the street from the riverwalk park, making for an easy walk with your furry friend.

Parking is more inside then outside, access to ice really inconvenient. We stay here a bunch and just seems not as clean and up kept as in the past years. We found shoes and other items under the bed.

Rose Hotel - a blooming good time
Staypineapple does not disappoint. The Rose Hotel was in a great location, within walking distance of the Saturday Market, Voodoo Doughnuts, Powell's Books, Portland Art Museum and a variety of food trucks. The bedding was soooooo comfortable. I love the refillable water bottles and Dash dogs in the room you can adopt. The restaurant food was delicious and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. So far we've been to 2/10 of the Staypineapple locations. Can't wait for our third!

Staff was very friendly. Room was small but on par with the price point. Main gripe is that VIP + status was stated to be one complimentary drink per person. But the list of applicable drinks was very limited and only beer/wine. It’s a solid hotel at a good price but in a remote part of downtown.

A wonderful Gem on the Waterfront in DT Portland!
We were there for a quick get away, visit the Japanese Gardens, Art Museum, and to lay around a bit. The Staypineapple Rose Hotel was fantastic. They are detail oriented, the service was unbelieveable! The restaurant was very good and there are fantastic bathrobes, decent coffee, and off street parking (for a fee). We loved it and would come again! 1 problem for me was an almost total lack of vegan options on the menu. I had to "build" a plate or make special orders. Especially for breakfast. The place also has a sense of humor about itself... the doorhangers say, "I am Naked, Go Away" instead of Do Not Disturb... and lastly, it is pet friendly, think water bowl in lobby and pup treats served next to the afternoon cookies. Really well done!

Pleasant pineapple stay
Loved the whimsical pineapple theme that was carried throughout the hotel. Although I could have made coffee in my room, they also offered a manned barista cart in the lobby to purchase other delicious options. When we first entered our room the temp was very cold but I was offered extra blankets which did the trick for my side of the bed. The duvet is also separated by side which prevented my fiance from stealing my covers yay! lol. Late night weekend party goers got noisy but that was on those rude folks and not the hotel. Loved our stay ❤️

It feels unsafe with homeless people camping right outside the premises, the hotel is not very well sound insulated, you can clearly hear guests having intimacy all night long, we did not rest well at this hotel.
