Neutral review. Staff are not friendly, rooms are basic and old, kitchen is gross, loud groups of Indians made noise in the halls all night. The location however is the best in Yerevan, and the free breakfast was basic but nice.

why did this hostel overbook my room?
I paid for a 2 people private room, but found out that this hostel was over booked. The boss asked the receptionist to return my money and put me into a 10 people dormitory for free. I could not sleep with four people snoring. I slept in the sofa in the corridor for several hours in the end.

Below par facilities in an excellent location
I booked a Double Room (single occupancy) including Breakfast. The price was A$11,300 / US$24 per night for 3 nights. I chose it for its location: on Republic Square. Best Hostel is set below ground. No TV. No kitchenette. No fridge. No wardrobe. No Daily Housekeeping. The bed was BAD; one of the worst that I have had in over 5 years of continual World travel. It had no padding on it. You, basically, slept on the raw springs … at least 2 of which were broken and I had to dodge the metal spikes poking up into the bed. The door handle was hanging on with 1 loose screw. The shower was warm and never hot. The Breakfast was minimal and mostly bread. The wifi at reception and in the restaurant was unreliable. Each room has its own wifi router. Mine had no power lead so I logged on to the wifi in the adjacent room. On the positive side, the in-room wifi was good and fast enough to stream video.

This hotel has the best location possible in Yerevan and the staff were very nice. They also offered us a wonderful tour around several monuments in Armenia for a very good price.

Lo mejor sin duda es su ubicación. El Colchón.... Prendedle fuego ya!!. Se te lavan los resortes en la espalda. El baño tiene las rejillas unidas.. Quiebra dedos!!!
