Kilmurry Lodge Hotel

8/10 Good
"Room was modest but fine. Fan was essential since no AC, but cooled things off well with window open. Pillows on beds were quite hard/not fluffy, so replacing them would be a good upgrade. Only real complaint was not with room but with reservations system: we wanted to shorten our 8-day stay by one night (in advance, not on arrival) and doing so would have been MORE expensive than just sticking with our original reservation. I didn’t understand why that should be, as we had to pay for the first night even though we didn’t arrive until the next day."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Limerick

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Limerick is during January, February, and November when hotel rates tend to be lower. To fully appreciate the city's landmarks, historical sites, and cultural offerings, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This budget-friendly trip allows you to explore attractions like castles, museums, and vibrant cafes, as well as enjoy dining and entertainment options, all while experiencing the warmth of friendly locals. With prices possibly dropping during these months, you'll find great value for money.
  2. This way, you could secure the perfect last-minute getaway at a great rate.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable stay in a Limerick hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalized experience and sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price seems a bit high, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more attractive rate.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre generally tend to be pricier, but thanks to Limerick's outstanding public transportation options, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit farther out that’s still well connected. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby cities, there’s often excellent value for money to be found.
