"The room was adequate but run down. The Kitchen was not fully equipped with only a few pots and pans, three bowls, and only a few plates. There was no coffee maker, but we were able to get one upon request. The check in was the worst part, after traveling all day we had to wait 5 1/2 hours for our room. The beach was gorgeous and makes us want to stay there again maybe but by the end of the week the pool was shut down and the hot tub was just a warm tub. "

"It was pretty good. I wish they had a map with nearby dining options and taxi drivers' contact details. We were only told about a Dominos Pizza within waking distance which charged $46 for a large and a medium pizza. Taxis in Grand Bahama are sometimes hard to find and cannot be pined down to a time. We wish that Uber would be allowed and the crappy-taxi service monopoly will wither on the vine."

"Out of five catamarans only two were in sailing condition. The pool table sags in the center. The air hockey table doesn’t work. There was no ball for fuss ball table. Despite being an all-inclusive resort, tip jars were everywhere. We were unable to get reservations at any à la carte restaurant all week; this is done via app. The buildings need cleaning and renovations. The beach is superb. The room was quiet except one night when neighbors were speaking loudly after midnight. The trapeze show was stunning. The buffet food was excellent. The staff was friendly. Checking in and out was easy. This was my third stay at Viva Fortuna. I will return if they update facilities and equipment. "

This duration allows visitors to enjoy budget-friendly activities like shopping, dining, and relaxing at the beach, as well as exploring entertainment options such as live music and family-friendly events. If you're looking for great value for money, visiting during this period might be an excellent choice, as prices could drop even further.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover affordable stays in Freeport, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Additionally, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're among the first to know if prices drop or rooms become available for a last-minute getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a Freeport hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalized experience and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the rate leans towards the higher end, we’ll suggest more economical dates to help you find a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Freeport's excellent public transit options, you may find a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby cities, there’s often great value for your money.
