Mediocre for the price…

Uneven experience on this stay. Some excellent service, some glaring exceptions. (Housekeeping walks in…past a Do Not Disturb Sign…no knock…as I am getting dressed.) Generally clean room…but a lighting fixture did not function.

Bad customer service

I booked two queen bedroom. Checking in they downgraded me to two double beds instead. They didn't give me a discount. In fact, she tried to tell me it was actually an upgrade because I was on a higher level. Yeah right, I couldn't care less what level, I wanted queen bed not double. I won't book with this hotel again, bad customer service.

Beautiful hotel in downtown San Jose

Finishes are excellent and the property looks great and has a great location. Parking is valet only but convenient. 4th floor had no working ice machines and the instructions in 1 place as to location were wrong (said opposite 401) Room was spacious and nicely appointed. Weird arrangement with no seating in front of the one TV

Adequate stay

The ice machine on my floor was broken, and I was running around the floor looking for the other ice machine on the floor, when I ran into an employee, he took action right away and brought some directly to my room. Overall, great stay, although the pillows did smell like sweat and the valet was jammed, so we parked nearby at a significantly cheaper price.

Great Place to Stay

The room was very nice and very roomy. Upon entering the room, we noticed the room was also very clean. It had a large flat screen TV, free coffee in the room. The bed was very comfortable. I have given this hotel a n excellent rating but there are few things I feel I should address. One is the shower; you have a rainfall shower head and a handheld shower head. If you look at the water handle it shows red one direction and blue the other direction which usually means the control of the water temperature. But in this case if you turn to the blue the handheld shower come son and if you turn to the red the rainfall shower comes on and you really cannot adjust the water temperature. The second also has to do with the shower, when taking a shower, I highly stress be careful, there is a tile flooring n the shower and it gets very slippery when wet and there is nothing to prevent you from falling in the shower if you are not very careful. Those are the only 2 things I can see that needs addressed.
