"Exterior of the property, amenities and common areas are nice but depending on the room you get it's a toss up. First room we had on the 10th floor smelled of sewage and mold. The second room on the 7th floor had 1 broken ac in the bedroom. The front desk staff tried their best but what can you do when upper management is no where to be found. The hallways on all floors except the ground level were hot, no ac. The property has potential but when not properly maintained and cheap material is used it's falling apart."

"We stayed at Sapphire Beach Resort in St. Maarten and unfortunately the first room we were given was very disappointing. It clearly needed renovation, everything looked old and scratched, there was no hot water, and the bathroom is in serious need of a full update. Even the fridge was very outdated and not appealing. This left us with a very negative first impression and affected our first day. We requested to be moved and were given another room, which was much better. It appeared newly renovated, clean, and everything worked properly. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The view from the balcony overlooking the sea was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the beach. The cats around the property were also a nice touch. Overall, the experience was mixed, the initial room was very poor, but the second room, along with the location, beach, and friendly staff, improved the stay significantly."

"Beautiful and clean suite. The staff was friendly and accommodating. You can order taxis from front desk which was very convenient. The view was immaculate and the hotel is right off the beach. No complaints."
