Old City

Chiang Mai's Old City invites exploration with narrow lanes revealing golden temple spires and saffron-robed monks. The ancient walls frame a world where incense mingles with street food aromas and traditional wooden shophouses line pedestrian-friendly sois. Wat Chedi Luang's brick chedis and Wat Phra Singh's ornate halls showcase the rich Lanna heritage waiting around every corner. Family-run shophouses serve authentic Northern Thai khao soi and sticky rice throughout this walkable district. Red songthaews circle the historic moat while tuk-tuks wait outside temples. Traditional guesthouses in converted Lanna-style buildings offer accommodation with local character and insights into this cultural heart of Chiang Mai.

Melia Chiang Mai

Melia Chiang Mai

10/10 Excellent
"My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Melia Chiang Mai over Chinese New Year, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel arranged a seamless airport pickup, which was a great start to our trip. The staff were absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. They even assisted us in booking a couple of excellent tours around the area. The buffet breakfast every morning was a highlight; delicious variety and great quality to fuel our days. I really enjoyed the well-equipped gym and the relaxing pool—perfect for unwinding. Location-wise, a lot of Chiang Mai's nightlife, markets, and restaurants are just a short walk away, making it super convenient. Overall, a luxurious and comfortable spot with excellent service. We'd happily return!"

Travelodge Nimman Chiang Mai

Travelodge Nimman Chiang Mai

10/10 Excellent
"I had a fantastic stay at Travelodge Nimman and would absolutely return. The breakfast was one of the highlights of the stay. There was an impressive selection each morning — fresh pastries, excellent coffee, juices, milk, yogurt, and fresh fruit. The live cooking stations were especially great, with both an omelet station and a noodle station, along with fried eggs made to order. There were also hot options like fried rice, steamed rice, and various stir-fry dishes. To top it off, they even offered desserts such as banana bread and orange cake. It was a very complete and satisfying spread. The rooftop pool is beautiful and a great place to relax, although the water was a bit colder than expected. The gym is on the smaller side but well-equipped enough for a solid workout. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. They include a safe, a large walk-in shower, and a fridge, and bottled water is restocked daily — small details that make a big difference. One of the best surprises was the Friday night market located directly in front of the hotel. It was amazing — tons of food stalls, endless shopping, and even a beer garden with a live band playing on stage. The atmosphere was lively and fun without needing to travel anywhere. The location is excellent. It’s within walking distance to Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center and One Nimman, plus there are countless restaurants nearby. Highly recommend! "
