Inn In The Park
"Stayed for 2 nights in August. Been here before and had a couple of meals which are always excellent. The breakfast choice was excellent. I appreciate this is a pub that serves food and has to prep for lunch but maybe a little tweak to the time , currently 9 - 9.30 to maybe 10 might be a good option for some. The room, could do with sprucing up, bathroom definitely needs modernising installing panelling get rid of the tiles as they do tend to start looking grubby! We were down during the heatwave so it was exceptionally hot in the room no air con(which I know is not probably cost worthy for the pub to install), we did have a fan but it just circulated hot air so due to this not much sleep was had plus right over the kitchen so if you had the window open the room smelt like whatever was being cooked! So my suggestion is the tower style fans that actually blow out cool air would make for a better nights sleep during the heat we appear to be getting of late. This would be a perfect place to stay in the winter as we know houses in the uk were originally built to hold the heat, which this room certainly did! We would recommend to our friends as long as they weren’t after anything fancy."
Haven Hotel
"The location is lovely, access to the pool and the beach which felt private made our stay very special, we almost felt like we were in South France as the weather and the sea were very pleasant and very warm for the UK. A couple of things I would certainly improve, the room was a little tired , sofa bed in the room was stained and dirty, windows could not be opened fully so it was stuffy and hot even with the fan on. The pool is only open till 6pm, showers close even earlier, and the staff start reminding to all guests about that from 5pm, we felt rushed. The pool should be open till 7 or 8, it would be nice to have the pool bar open too. I must mention we were very surprised by the price of the basic drink like simple black coffee, it was £6 while the more complicated coffee with milk costed £12, that is extremely unreasonable, considering alcohol drinks were cheaper than that. I believe pricing should be reconsidered to reasonable level. Otherwise the staff were helpful and pleasant. We hope to be back one day."
Holiday Inn Express Poole by IHG
"Efficient air conditioning was helpful during the heatwave"
Shah of Persia, Poole by Marston's Inns
"The staff was very helpful Nice and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast, I had a discount to be a guest. I had a lovely time there"
Harbour Heights Hotel
"Great location but could really do with a bit of TLC, the hotel is very dated for the price"
The Merchant House
"I loved everything about this palace I don’t be guest houses but would stay again"
Hotel du Vin & Bistro Poole
"Air conditioning in the room incredibly hard to use effectively leading to very poor sleep Car park incredibly small however public parking 100 yards away"
Anchorage
"The room we had was great for our needs for the long weekend. Easy to access with self check in and out. Loads of info provided about the area for restaurants etc in a book left in the room which was genuinely useful. Jenny was great with providing required info on booking and checking we had that info again before we arrived. We’d definitely stay again if we visit Poole."
Quayside Quarters
"Lovely room at the top of 2 flights of stairs. Enough space for the 2 of us and luggage. Clean. Good shower. A good selection of tea &coffee. A payable mini bar. Good shower and the host has some toiletries for use if you’d forgotten anything. The location is great 2 mins walk to bars and restaurants. My advice is read the message from the hotel with the check in details (I didn’t) it a key lock box the code is in the message attachment . Jenny didn’t mind at all that I hadn’t read it and luckily she was close by to help out."
