My wife and I decided like many other couples to go to St Lucia for our honeymoon. We picked Mystique because it’s backdrop was beautiful and the property was tucked nicely against the beach in the far north of the island away from the marinas. We couldn’t help feeling “bait and switched” since the day we arrived. The property like many other resorts in the north of the island was a good 1.5hr drive from the airport. After we were flying 8.5hrs and taxiing for 1.5hrs we attempted to check in at 4:30pm (advised check in start time was 3pm) and we were told the room wasn’t ready, but would be ready *soon*. After we got to the room the outdoor jacuzzi was filled with sand and other debris from the previous guests. None of the bedroom lights turned on except a lamp that was placed conveniently in the corner. During our stay we found out all the restaurant times listed in the welcome brochure were wrong. We also weren’t able to secure a laying spot on the beach because there was always very few loungers available. There were even a limited number of shaded spots at the pool so we spent a lot of time under the shaded bar area. The food wasn’t too bad. The bar service was actually the best part of this resort. The entertainer Chantel tried very hard to keep their unorganized activities together and deserves a lot of credit. Lastly the beach was filled with these “authorized vendors” that would approach you and try to get you to buy cheap necklaces or to try to sell you drugs.

I am so glad I chose to stay at Mystique for my first time in St. Lucia! As a solo traveler I wanted to make sure I was staying at a safe resort in a good location and definitely felt at ease staying at Mystique. I can’t say enough great things about the staff. Everyone was very friendly and willing to go above and beyond to ensure I was having a great stay. There is access to Reduit Beach directly behind the resort where I was able to view some of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen. Only downside to the beach are the guys who try to push their merchandise and excursions on you. This is not Mystique’s fault by any means - all of the beaches in St Lucia are public so anyone can access them (just sharing this as a heads up for any first time travelers who may not be aware). Because of this, I chose to spend most of my time by the pool and at the swim up bar. Special thank you to Troy, Jonathan and Houston – best bartenders ever! 😊 The wifi was very hit or miss in my room but I always had reliable connection in the lobby, by the pool, and in the dining areas. I enjoyed the dining options and liked that there was always a rotation in what was being served each day at the buffet. I also appreciated that there were a lot of authentic St Lucian cuisine options to choose from! I truly enjoyed my stay at Mystique and would definitely choose to stay here again whenever traveling to St. Lucia.

This property is outdated and dirty. There’s mold in the ceiling of the restaurant. The walls are dirty. The furniture is dirty and outdated. Mugs in the restaurant are chipped. The Food was horrible. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone
