I stayed here for 6 nights for the Lemans race. It was a little far for that, but was the closest i could get because I was late planning my trip. But it was only a 30 minute drive on s beautiful country road, so it was ok.
The apt./room was very nice, clean and comfortable. It was a good size too. As the listing points out, there is no elevator, so carrying large bags up the stairs may be an issue for some people. Also, the listing doesn't say there's no air conditioning, which I understand is common, but would be a big deal in hotter summer months. In June it was borderline, but the room had a good floor fan which was perfect. Plus you can open the windows in the room and bathroom which helps at night.
The people in Malicorne are incredible friendly and helpful. A local grocery clerk directed me on how to use the pay laundry machines. And the restaurant staffs were great. I ate twice at Mac'licorne, a small fast food deli place, next to a great, very complete grocery and one dinner at La Petite Auberge, a very nice cafe right on the River Sarthe. Both were excellent. It is a neat small, old village.
Finally, Aurore at the hotel could not have been nicer or more helpful. She checked me in quickly and offered to help with luggage or information or room cleaning. Whatever i needed. She is super.
Overall, i higher recommend the Malicorn Appart-Hôtel.
