A huge disappointment
No slip mat in the shower room, no sockets working except 1 which the kettle was plugged into no bacardi left!, no d coke on left, 1 soap dispenser out of 4 working in the toilets, no hot water to wash your hands until after an hour. A huge disappoint since the last time we stayed. £176 for one night!!

I'd pay a bit more to stay elsewhere.
Considering the price, we thought it was a "meh" hotel. The staff was somewhat dismissive of asking for clarification about the check in page to sign. The room was in sort of rough condition. The window had a gap that someone had seemed to stuff with trash to block. The bathroom had a single light bulb that worked of what looked like three should be functional. The second morning, the hot water ran out.

Disappointing Stay
Room was very cold, window was broken and wouldn't shut. Restaurant was a joke, only one menu and held at the bar. Ordered a starter and main course both came to table at same time and apparently that was my fault for not asking for them separately. Oddly the fish goujons came with a sweet chilli dip and no garnish, which killed the taste of the fish which was over fried. The burger that was taken away when I said about eating my starter first came back and was only just warm. Food wasn't as menu apparently in a burger you only get the bun, burger, a shake of cur lettuce and some chips, no tomato or relish. Was offered some by staff when I queried it only for her to come back from kitchen saying they didn't do it. They need to get a printed menu that reflects what they offer. Generally found staff uninterested and not really aware of their roles. Also they now charge for parking £12.50 a night apparently from beginning of August despite emails and messages about checkin saying it's free.

Restaurant
The available menu in the restaurant was very limited and 2 of the choices were no longer available. So choice was down to 2 types of burger or a curry. Disappointing.

No sound proof windows next to a busy road
I chose this hotel for it's location as I was running an ultra marathon the next day (6 am start). The windows were not sound proof and I hear everything happening outside. I didn't get any sleep.

Have to say I was a bit reluctant to stay here from some of the reviews I'd seen lately but have to say it was a most enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and polite. The room was clean apart from a few marks on the walls that could do with a lick of paint but that sort of thing doesn't bother me in hotels as long as the bed is clean and comfy. I have back problems so I know a comfy bed. I had a perfect night's sleep. Breakfast was also great. Plenty of choice and great view around the Clyde. Also was perfect for our show in the OVO arena, less than a minute's walk across the road. With kids, this is a blessing.

Conveniently located property, friendly staff
The room was clean and served our needs. Although the restaurant was closed, we were able to enjoy a nice meal at the Marriott Courtyard across the street. The staff provided an extension cord that enabled us to use our C-pap machines.

Good bad and indifferent
So Campanile Glasgow, easy to get to,,parking £12.50 for 24,hrs I was going to pay but reception staff Told me that I had booked before they changed car park policy they honoured the free parking. I've seen reviews for rooms and have to disagree room 6 twin, both bathroom and bedroom was clean tidy, cupboard space is small, had tea and coffee, TV . On front of hotel very quiet. Shower good but door fell off as no bung to stop it. Towel rail been moved but original holes not filled and painted, side table top ok so long as you don't move it(top comes off) However staff were polite but minimalistic to say the least, young reception lady best of bunch. At breakfast sign said wait to be seated. We did, lady came asked for room number ticked us off list turned and went to kitchen not saying anything, I asked if there was any meat etc for continental breakfast as only half piece of ham left no cheese no croissants left. Answer it ham there and pointed to said bit. I Gave up and went to cooked food, it was ok but sausages looked like Cumberland but tasteless. Whole time we are she was on her phone not interested in any of customers coming and going Not really sure this was good or bad experience but this is second Campanile that we've been to and not been great Date of experience: 16 September 2024

Had a great birthday weekend in Glasgow, while not city centre uber are cheap or its a nice walk along the riverside, love the bars in Finnieston, and the Sky bar at the adjacent Radisson hotel had incredible views. For the price the hotel is ideal and staff very friendly and accommodating, cant wait to return

Check in was painfully slow, the customer in front of us was told that when she booked online her payment was declined so she just accepted this and paid again. Finially when it was our turn we were told the same that online payment had declined, i assured her it had not... following a long conversation where she disagreed with what site i used to book and the room rate i had paid she accepted that it had went through and said that hotel.com had not made payment to them! There was an awful smell in the lobby near the bar entrance. Bar staff were not very friendly, once i ordered the girl serving me barely looked up and didnt advise how much my order was, she just handed the card machine for payment. Location wise it is very good, customer service terrible, room was very basic and dated. Will not be returning.
