Dark Room, style over substance.
Service at reception was good. Staff were friendly and happy to help.
Rooms however are a different story and not what you’d expect of a 4 star hotel. They are quite small in size, however that’s not such an issue as it’s to be expected in a hotel in its location. However the room was DARK! Lighting is terrible and it made the place look and feel dingy. There was a dimmer switch but that didn’t seem to work properly as it didn’t really turn up the level of light much. We had to turn on the light in the bathroom in order to see what we were doing.
Mini fridge was broken and light kept flickering constantly. Also the wardrobe units seem too big for the room as the doors can’t open fully. Seems a bit style of substance and a hotel trying too hard to be art deco.
Bar is nice enough and offers good value. But the staff are the main saving grace of this hotel.
There is likely better options to stay in Paris.
