Very good hotel for business. Not many tourist. In walking distance to fragrant hill and bus station, the bus station connects directly to Line 10 of the subway. Overall had an amazing time!
Excellent resort hotel. Close to attractions, such as Fragrant Hill Park, and public transportation. A variety of restaurants are nearby. Very quiet. Great for non smokers, which is not widely available in China.
Especially, extremely helpful front desk. My parents are in their eighty. Ms Gu made every effort to switch their room to ground floor as soon as such room was available. I am very appreciate her professional courtesy and empathy.
One of the guy name Jermey is very friendly. Only two receptions speak English and he is one of them. He helps me on finding taxi and asking if I need any help throughout the day. Rhe bed is comfortable but the room is very narrow and on my room I didnt have a charging plug by my bed. So I plugged my phone far from my bed by the tv. The area is kind of remote and its kind of far from downtown bejing. The hotel food is so so. But its a clean hotel with a very freindly staffs
There are a few guests in winner here.
There are bus stations nearby.
There are restaurants just several minutes walk.
The swimming pools are very good with a small one for kids. The temperature is about 27°C.
The hot spring pools are good, too. There are 3 pools by temperature.
I have been staying at Fragrant Hills Empark since 2007. It is close to Summer Paleace, Botanical Gardens and incredible architectural wonders and hiking trails of Fragrant Hill Park with Buddhist temples and palaces of Emperors that were mostly destroyed by British and French Opium War invaders. Some of these buildings are still being reconstructed and restored so visitors can see construction in ancient style tile roofs and central attraction Pagoda of 8 levels. Wondeful hike.
This hotel is the perfect place to stay, reasoable rates and very close gourmet restaurants in old style.
I really enjoyed a few days in this northern part of Beijing. The hotel was clean and confortable, very near to the Botanical Garden. Check-in warm, fast and professional. Good experience in a "different" Beijing.
First, I must say the area is beautiful and one of the staff was good. It wasn't all bad but there were a couple of incidents that soured my view. A small laundry order cost me more than a night at the hotel (8 pair socks, 8 underwear and one T-shirt).
The 2nd incident was at checkout when I need a taxi to the railway station. The front desk clerk pulled out her tablet to order one and I said I would wait in front of the hotel. It was pouring rain. After 10 minutes waiting, I went inside to check and she told me that she could get no taxi for me. I would have to go to the bust stop which was a 5 minute walk in the rain. (No umbrella). This would have made me late to the train. I had to walk for about 10 minutes to find one.
The room I was in was a little tired - the shower/tub never looked clean and leaked water to the floor.
We really enjoyed a weekend away at the Fragrant Hills Empark Hotel. It was my wife's birthday and it was very special. Comfortable, relaxed, and near a few different options of activities (hiking and garden). It also has a beautiful pool and grounds!
