I would sooner sleep in a tent

I would sooner sleep in a tent than return to that hotel for a second stay. It was dreadful. Termites in the bathroom and a view of a wall. It felt like I was in a basement. Also, their no-smoking policy is extreme. I understand we don't smoke indoors, but their "completely off the premises" policy (add a dismissive flick of the hand), which included their car park, made the stay feel unsafe, very unwelcoming and bordering on oppressive. All of that would be fair enough if smoking were against the law, but it isn't yet. Until it is, hotels should provide an outdoor area where people can smoke or get out of the hospitality business. Please warn other potential customers. Also, the Hotels. com website offered a smoking room, which I thought was odd in this day and age. So, it is best not to rely on anything the website says. My one night stay was a very disappointing, misleading and unpleasant experience. On the plus side, the bed was comfy and the views at breakfast were great. The housekeeping staff were very pleasant and none of the issues I experience were their responsibility. Also, the late check-out customer gave was a kind gesture, but I just wanted to leave.

Check in receptionist was not the most friendly, check-in was carded for 3pm and they were not sure which room to place us in after 40 mins I had to ask for an update with very poor communication and no apology for the long wait. The other receptionist apologized for her co-worker. Thereafter, the 5 day stay was enjoyable.

Staff was very accommodating, room was ok (pillows extra soft and couch very uncomfortable), food was not satisfying as there were not options (everything we asked for was not available), breakfast had no fresh fruit or juices and everything was extra greasy and spicy. I checked in on Friday at 3pm and I made a reservation to have dinner at the skye restaurant for 8pm on Saturday night. On Saturday night I made my way up the the 6th floor where the restaurant is located for the staff to inform us that the restaurant is closed for a private event, this was not told to us when we made the reservation.

Handicap parking should be revised. One handicap spot which is the closest parking for a disabled person: to the hotel side entrance doubles as an electric car recharging station. The other handicap spot is used as parking for the hotel shuttle which leaves one spot- usually unavailable due to hotel staff parking in it. This is the only major inconvenience I’ve had on my two visits to the hotel and management should resolved this issue ASAP. Thank you.

Love the look and feel of hotel. Stayed there for the rooftop pool. My kids had a blast swimming. Rooms were comfortable and relaxing. A standard room with a nice bathroom, tv, microwave and fridge. Breakfast was good and their was multiple options. Kids were a big fan of the Mac and cheese from the room service. It’s delicious, but taste like Alfredo sauce. Parking was near to lobby. This hotel is located near the port which was nice. My favorite beach was pigeon point beach which is about 25 mins away.

I would have preferred the property to be beachfront, but was very happy with the facility and the service overall. The shuttle to and from the hotel was prompt and the drivers were courteous. Benecia at the front desk was lovely - very helpful, efficient, and was very kind to my elderly mother.The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, but took a little long to be served. There was a good selection for the breakfast buffet, which was included in the cost. The rooftop pool was also very nice - lounge chairs were clean and in very good condition. Room was a good size for 3 people, with good working AC, and comfortable beds. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and already recommending for my family members to come next year.
