Enjoyed our stay
My family and I loved this hotel! Check-in was smooth and quick. We had indicated that 4 persons (2A,2C) would be staying in the room and they provided towels and amenities for exactly that. Other hotels we stayed in, we had to request for an extra bathroom towel everyday.
Stayed 5 days in the corner room. 8th floor, of the new wing. There was enough space for our luggage (7 pieces) and there was also storage space in the space beneath our bed. The room looked new and we had a city view of the area outside. Only 2 bottles of water(500ml) were provided each day.
The toiletries provided (body wash, shampoo, conditioner) felt a step better than other places we’ve stayed in.
There was a good spread of food for breakfast and it was delicious.
We didn’t go to the onsen but it was pretty well used each night. You can check how crowded it is on the tv screen. Limited hours in the morning and evening/night.
The hotel also had DIY coin-operated laundry facilities on the 1st floor. Only 3 washing machines and 3 dryers. Fairly small and the dryer took some time to dry a full load (approx 1-2 hours).
The airport limo bus dropped us off here so that was great. But if you’re leaving for the airport, you’d have to walk to the next hotel over to board the airport limo bus or walk 10min to Sapporo Station for the train.
Odori and Sapporo stations are the nearest train stations to the hotel. About 10min walk.
Would stay here again.

Kelly’s travels
Great position there was a bus stop right outside when we got the bus from airport and when you leave bus stop on next block. This was convenient considering the weather. Check in was good we had a room on the twentieth floor overlooking the city which was great to watch the weather roll in. A lot of the sights were only a short walk and main train station was about 10 minute walk. Room was comfortable twin beds with space under beds to put stuff to make more room. The hotel was more European than japanese. Breakfast was excellent so many choices from local to western food. My husband especially like the smoked salmon and caviar

It was a nice stay, easy parking and good location close to Snow Festival. Breakfast was expensive so didn’t try it.

Superb Onsen and friendly staff with good service!
Am very impressed with the service this hotel offers. I requested an early deposit of luggage a day earlier as I have a late arrival from a day trip to Wakkanai. When I arrive for check in at 11.45pm, the luggage was already moved to my room and not reception area! This surprised me!
The hotel location is perfect for a stroll walk to Susukino and the onsen is superb too!
Breakfast spread was marvellous and friendly staff in the hotel which also included the chef cooking the omelette for me!
Will definitely come back for a stay in this hotel next winter !

Classic style hotel in Sapporo
One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Sapporo! The staff was very helpful in expediting some holiday gift packages. Very gracious helpful staff and an old world charm at this hotel, I am now a big fan of the Monterey brand because of their Sapporo team. Thanks for a great stay!

Check for mold around the metal parts of the window frame in the hotel room. The extremely cold air causes condensation to build up on these areas. Also, a regular inspection beneath the tubs in hotel rooms would be advised. The space in between the edge of the tub and the wall is not sealed and may build up moisture under the tub.

The location is very good and the property is well maintained. Only complaint was the gentleman at front desk that I asked about the spa he was not very patient and does not want me to finish talking before he talks. Very rare for a Japanese to behave like that.
