Great hotel with lacking service
The hotel is lovely & well-situated. The rooms were all unique and comfortable. They were well-appointed and tasteful. The breakfast was lovely with many hot and cold options & bubbles to start your day.
The hotel & restaurant staff could use some customer service skill lessons.
Be prepared to walk through hoards of smokers to get into the hotel as the restaurant seems to be very popular & "hopping" but don't expect to get to enjoy it yourself. We tried 2 different times to get into the restaurant and even just for a drink, were denied without a smile or explanation. We were told to try another restaurant in the hotel. We did & were denied there. Front desk told us to just order room service...which we tried but no one would pick up. Money lost for the hotel as that was 6 people looking to enjoy the facilities. I do feel that exceptions should be made for hotel guests...a couple of tables set aside each night to accommodate those of us staying there.
