Our stay was nice. Rooms were clean and the fireplace in our room was its best feature, although more wood could be provided for longer stays. Walking around the gardens was lovely. Although the llamas aren’t quite as friendly as everyone seems to say, they mostly liked to be kept to themselves as they’re not like sweet alpacas! Breakfast was served everyday at our door in a wire basket. We had the option of 8a or 9a drop-off but had to “return” the basket by 10a, which felt a bit rushed and like forced eating. We had the 9a drop-off and our coffees weren’t as piping hot as we hoped for. The breakfast offered was usually a variety of eggs n fruit or yogurt parfait with muffins. I would rate it 6 out of 10; good/fine but not amazing. Although the inn could use a little more charm and cozy, the stay overall was good, especially with its location close to downtown mendocino.

To start the property is spectacular. It is located on a beautiful farm. The rooms are beautiful and well supplied. They have a fireplace that is all laid out and ready to go. The breakfast is incredible!! The staff is friendly and accommodating. Love the sustainability.

Lovely room with a distant view of the sea, rustic but modern and well-kept at the same time. Breakfast in a basket, made with farm produce, was a major plus. Only two disappointments that stole the last star (sorry, SPC, I actually did forget these on checkout): 1. My shower ran cold on the first morning and pressure isn't what I'd expect for the price, even though I know you're being environmentally friendly. 2. Breakfast came without salt or pepper. Although healthier, the first morning's eggs without salt and pepper were a little bland. The second morning's, with mushrooms and cheese, were DELICIOUS.

The first night in the hotel someone in the room above paced for about half an hour at 2:00 am then fell asleep and snored. The second night a young child ran back and forth for about an hour at 10 pm then again at 8:00 am. Of course the real problem is that we could hear all of it.

Mendocino Get Away
Overall a great stay, but the bed was too hard for us to really enjoy our second night. Attempting to sleep on your side resulted in stiff shoulders and hips and our backs were stiff as well. Kind of sad to spend so much money on a hotel room that you don’t even look forward to sleeping in the bed at. We stayed there in the same category of room 5 years ago when it was under a different name and ownership and never had any issues with bed comfort.
