Great place to stay with kids
This place is a great place to stay with a friendly owner. He even played guitar for us and he is very good! My kids loved it here, we would come again!

Feels like home!
This was a great stop for a night on our way to Sugarloaf to ski. We booked last minute, but were given very clear check-in instructions. The room was comfortable, clean, and the extra amenities like the living room and breakfast supplies were an added bonus! We would absolutely stay again next time we’re up this way.

Very nicely taken care older stately home. There's a pool table in the living room, ukulele, guitar, and a small banjo. Very nicely decorated. Its cheaper than others, but a better quality of stay. I recommend it

When I booked this room Deluxe Single room, I looked at the pictures and was under the impression that it had its own bathroom, I did not see Shared Bathroom listed so either it wasn’t at the time (I see it is now) or I didn’t look closely enough, either way it was disappointing:( Cons: I feel the price is quite high (and non-refundable) for a bedroom with shared bathroom, no tv or cable (which I was aware of) and no individual heat controls (I did get in touch with someone to turn the heat up as my room was very cold and they came quite quickly). The continental breakfast was bags of bread in the fridge with milk and juice, there were eggs but on a separate shelf that was not labelled continental so no idea if they were for breakfast. I got an email with check-in instructions but no room number indicated so just guessed which was mine.
Pros: The bed was very comfortable for one person and I had a great sleep! Feels a bit like your grandmothers house…nice and cozy but with a pool table downstairs and lots of books:)

This is a beautiful old house that has been nicely kept up. Kingfield in a nice small town in western Maine. The hostel is in downtown within easy walking distance of good restaurants. We marked them down slightly because even though we received a nice text from them with how to get into the house, we had to call them a couple of times to find out what room we were in and where restaurants were, etc. It would have been nice if they came and showed us, but it was 4pm on a Friday and they may have been busy with other work. The description and photos of the hostel are very accurate. The area was close to peak for fall colors so gorgeous!! We will keep them in mind if we come this way again and need a place to stay!

Perfect Night
Perfect place for a quick one night stay. Just needed a place to sleep for the night and the hostel provided. Wish we got there earlier to play pool or darts. Gives us a reason to come back!
