AWFUL EXPERIENCE- STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHADY HOTEL

Receptionist took a picture of my passport when I arrived for the check in. Another young, naive, overconfident receptionist told me it is common practice to do so, or take a photocopy. No, in safe hotels they only look at it. They asked me 120€ for a hot air balloon ride, even though it was written on the board only 50€. They said something about the company not having been able to ride for a few days. As if that had anything to do with me. The next morning, when I went to get some breakfast, another overconfident staff member asked me if I had checked in that day. As if I had sneaked in to get free breakfast. Embarrassing. Room had heating on lowest, despite low temperatures. I had to ask them twice to turn it up. Cheap hotel and great location, but I am sure you can find other hotels nearby where they respect their guests. Do not recommend.

What a beautiful property! Great service. Provided lots of bottled water. The showers were hot and super high pressure. The rooms were clean and warm. The beds were comfortable. The view was beautiful and the breakfast was excellent. My only suggestion is that the hotel needs to invest in fitted sheets. Our bed used a flat sheet tucked in the mattress and that did not stay in place at all while we slept. Other than that, my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Location was great, restaurants and shops around the corner. We stayed in an original cave, room number 6. Right outside the room is the housekeeping storage area, we were woken early every morning with a thud from the bag of fresh towels being thrown on the ground. Beware - the ventilation in this hotel was terrible. We were left with a dehumidifier to run continuously and hand to open the windows (in winter!) because of the smell of mold in the room and visible mold in the shower. We informed the staff and the owner, they acted surprised and promised to have housekeeping look into. But that didn’t happen. We stayed four nights and only had housekeeping once. There is breakfast included in a glassed-in room with again - no ventilation. The staff is frying in this space while refilling the buffet-style breakfast. Our hair and clothes stunk of oil. Do NOT trust the pictures or the ratings (as we did!). The staff is friendly but this hotel is NOT a 9/10 in person as their rating indicates. Nor is it a “luxury” hotel. There are so many other better hotels to choose from! Unfortunately for us, we had pre-paid online. Stay away.

The room was clean, bright and spacious. Their terrace view, breakfast and location was great. The washroom was very small. It did not have a divider between the toilet and the shower as it showed online. We got a room across from reception so there was noise from time to time. Also, we did experience issues with wifi on one of the days. Weather in Cappadocia was cold and rainy during our stay and we had trouble with heating. We stayed for 3 nights and 1st day, we had no heat, even though we had asked for heat. On the 2nd day, they turned on the heat but we only felt a little at night. One of us had caught a cold by this point. On the 3rd night, we had proper heating. We had to ask about the heating every day, and they told us they have to turn it on manually as it is central heating. They also have to make it clear in the instructions how to turn on the radiator (as a previous guest may have left it off). Overall, the location is fantastic and Goreme is very walkable, even at night. All booked activities provided pick up at hotel and it was very convenient. Hotel will also help book an airport shuttle to and from the airport if you ask. Cabs in Cappadocia are very expensive and not recommended.

It was a nice cave hotel but we had WiFi issue. Out of the 3 nights only 1 night WiFi worked fine. It was a nice cave hotel. I don’t think I will stay at a cave hotel again. But the staff were nice and nice area everything is very walkable.

The staaf, Kaan greeted us politely. Arranged pick-up shuttle from NAV airport perfectly. Even returned my money over price discrepancy by the shuttle driver. The room is comfy and the place is quiet. We really love this place (My Mom and I). Definitely a recommended place to stay with affordable price

My family and I stayed at the Turan Cave hotel for 4 days. We had a very pleasant stay. Hotel is centrally located near shops, dining and the trails to the various hikes in goreme. Hotel management was very courteous, kind and helpful in arranging tours, last minute car rental etc. Hotel also had a lovely terrace where we could catch the balloons at sunrise. Would recommend.

Çalışanlar çok yardımcı oldu, sadece güleryüzle karşılama değil restoran ve mekan önerilerinde ve gezi önerilerinde de bulundular. Çözüm odaklıydılar. Teras, balonları izlemek için çok iyiydi. Kahvaltı güzeldi sadece bir arı sorunu var orada sanırım, içeride de arılar vardı. Arı korkusu ya da alerjisi olanlar için yemek yemek zor olabilir. Bir de sonrasında bir düğüne katılacaktık kıyafet ütülemek için ütü istedik, çok yardımcı oldular ama verilen ütünün ayarlarda sıkıntı vardı ve kıyafet yandı. Ütü değiştirebilir :) onun dışında gönül rahatlığıyla kalmayı seçebilirsiniz.
