The hotel is beautiful and well located but our group was very surprised that several of us would have days where maids did not attend our rooms, the hotels only reaction was to try to blame each of us for having ‘do not disturb’ on our door which we know 100% we did not. Bad policy to blame your customers for lying when they are not. Two of the 3 mornings I stayed, there was no hot water in my shower as I let the water run 10-15 minutes waiting for it. My particular room backed onto the stairway and service elevator and noise was echoing and disturbing to sleep. For a hotel and brand of this caliber I was very surprised to not have basic services like daily maid service, hot water and a good nights sleep. Would not go back.

The Roosevelt is a beautiful hotel, and its location is just a short walk away from Bourbon St. and the French Quarter. As I've learned since going to New Orleans, it's definitely NOT a good idea to have your hotel on Bourbon Street as ridiculously noisy. The Roosevelt is classy accomodation and the rooms were perfect. There is a nice hotel bar and a coffee shop and a restaurant. Concierge's are very helpful! One day the room was cleaned quite late (5p) but other than that this was First Class all the way!!

From the minute we checked in to the moment we left, we felt well cared for and totally spoiled. Even though the hotel is old, it has so much appeal, charm and history. The lobby was decorated for Christmas in a winter wonderland. Our room was amazing, the shower was fantastic and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The Domenic restaurant in the hotel had the best pizzas every.

Bathroom floor had scuff marks which looked like dirt and bathroom shaving mirror was cracked. The hotel attempted to charge me for taking something from the minibar which never happened.
