Staff were fantastic, anticipating our needs and always gracious. Jazz was an exceptional hostess. And the new restaurant, Pavao with Executive Chef Trevon was a true delight. Outstanding meals! We hope we can stay at this beautiful relaxing plantation house again in the near future. A wonderful stay. Thank you!

No facilities or amenities: staff don't care: bats

This place seems be either fantastic or terrible. Mine was terrible. I've attached photos of the 'Tea and coffee making facilities, Nespresso machine and pods' (six tea bags and splenda. No spoon, milk, sugar, and when I asked for a sachet of instant coffee I was told no) and the 'free luxury toiletries' (mosquito repellent, insect killer and a toilet roll. At my third request they reluctantly have me a small bar of (dish?) soap to at least wash my hands in the bathroom. Oh, and both the 'complimentary water' bottles had been opened, one had some sort of sediment in it. I've given a good eating for eco-friendly because my 'private terrace' was shared with a colony of bats. Interesting creatures but noisy, not toilet trained, and not very relaxing. I don't get it: I paid full price, was very polite, and just wanted a night to relax. By far the worst place I've ever slept, including Reading Rail Station (had hand washing facilities) and a park bench (fewer facilities but didn't charge $200+ per night).

      Fantastic hotel.

Fantastic location for exploring the island a short drive from the beautiful beaches. The staff were excellent and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. The hotel is located in an old plantation and you can spend the evening watching the monkeys play.

The staff are nice depending who you’re speaking to. Natalie is especially kind and attentive and very easily my favorite member of the staff. Be aware that towels are changed every other day and linens every three days however I had to ask for new towels they didn’t remember. My linens never got changed. The pool is closed whenever there is an event but there will be a days notice, so if you’re going during wedding season be mindful of that. The breakfast options won’t change but twice in my stay fruits were not available and If there’s an event later in the day the staff will be busy and you could wait a while to be served. The dinner options are good but I don’t remember seeing any options representative of Bajan cultures. THE WORST THING : roaches. Not once but twice we had roach sitings in our room. There was a dead one when we first got in and on another day we saw one casually strolling around. We were disturbed. We also found moths on our room . Also, the information in the email from the property was not accurate. They do NOT offer a meal plan at this time and check in is at 3 not 2 . Something nice ? It’s close to Carlisle Beach which is beautiful. It was also nice to be surrounded by trees and have a balcony to sit on with a swinging bed .

During quarantine at this hotel, we needed water and they charged us $15. Also, the hotel doesn’t have all the amenities it advertises. They say they have a pool and offer massages - both of which are untrue. The breakfast included was also what drew me to book here but they only offer one breakfast with no variation (fried egg, fried toast, with beans and fish). The room I was originally in flooded from the rain. When I complained about that, it took them two hours to even give me a response. Luckily they moved me to another room , which was much nicer but the room itself also had a lizard and two giant cockroaches in it. The room had a really nice bathroom and shower. It also had a TV with Netflix, Hulu, Disney etc. Also, the hotel is known for hosting many private events and these events usually feature loud music that goes on for hours. The hotel says its 10 minutes from the beach (which is true) but the location of this hotel makes a taxi necessary and taxis in Barbados are expensive (US$15 for a 5-10 drive). We ended up checking out early because we didn’t enjoy our stay here. I would look for a hotel that overlooks the beach. At least that’ll offer you easy access to the beach without having to spend $20 on a taxi every time you want to see the beach.
