The apartment is spacious and beautifully remodeled, a striking contrast with the old building it is in. The air conditioning works well. The kitchen and dining area are inviting and efficient.
The apartment is located ideally for exploration of the Latin Quarter, Île de la Cité, île Saint-Louis and the Marais. There is a great bakery around the corner, which we visited daily and sometimes twice daily. There is a friendly modern coffee shop several doors down and a storage locker literally next door.
The hosts communicated promptly and courteously. They provided explanations as well as supplies that we requested, such as coffee, tea and sugar. The only two kinds of supplies they said we had to get ourselves were dishwasher detergent and washing machine detergent. We bought 32 dishwasher pellets for 7 euros and used two. Hope the next party can benefit.
On the day of the checkout, the host who had been communicating promptly the previous three days unexpectedly ghosted us and did not answer questions about a late checkout, calling a cab for the airport or the procedure for dropping off the key. We ended up finding the key drop procedure in the manual, getting the taxi ourselves at a taxi stand around the corner, and checked out at the required time, which caused us to wait extra at the airport. This last bit of missed communications put a slight damper on an otherwise perfect stay. It was a Saturday, so I am giving the host the benefit of the doubt.
