Relaxing getaway

We had a lovely stay at this resort for a weekend celebrating our anniversary. The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was heavenly! We enjoyed the convenience of the pool bar/restaurants and the variety of cuisine at the food hall and beer garden. Unfortunately, the “sports bar” was not open until 5pm - even on the weekend. The wait was so long to get into the stand-alone seafood restaurant on Saturday night that we gave up and had pizza - one of only 2 dining places still open in the food hall at around 9pm. We wanted to have a quick breakfast before leaving on Sunday, but the line was so long at the coffee bar/cafe, and the only other option was basic American breakfast, so we left and ate elsewhere. While it was Mother’s Day and they offered a Mother’s Day buffet (for $70 per person), it would have been nice to have a quicker, less expensive option. I’d suggest more entertainment during the weekend - live music was only offered in the evening at 2 restaurants, which were too crowded to get into. There were bikes available for rent, but entertainment offerings like trivia, karaoke, table tennis, or corn hole would be much more fun. Overall, the rooms, pool, and premises were all wonderful, and we would go back!

Beautiful resort. We came here for the amazing pool but were disappointed at check in on a Saturday that it was closed for a private event. Told us we could go to the roof top pool but there were no chairs for us to use.

The walk from the elevator to the room was very long. I passed 20 other rooms before reaching mine. That's a lot when carrying bags. It cost 25$ a day to park seems expensive for a paying guest. The pool is nice but who wants to carry all their gear half a block? The best place their is the bar on the top floor. I did not go to any restaurants.

The hotel & view are beautiful. The service lacked. It took 4 days to get a waiter at the pool to acknowledge us. Our server at Half-cracked could not keep up with her 3 tables she had and kept apologizing for taking so long. The icing on the cake was our first morning when we were greeted at the pool by the attendant telling us all about her period and that’s why it was so tough to do her job. I did report it to the front desk staff who first offered us a $12.50 drink voucher (remember, we were struggling to get service) and said they would pass it on to management to handle. By that time we were checking out.

Great, but still has some growing pains!

The property is beautiful, and it has many different options for food and drinks. However, they still have some issues that need tweaking with their “Level Blue” roof top pool. Reservation can be made for poolside lounge chairs, but they do not have an efficient way to stop people who did not make a reservation from taking the reserved chairs. This made several people upset. They also had a private event that closed down for 75% of the day and left people with reservations, without access. They also seem to be understaffed, which is unfortunate. The spa is excellent and we highly recommend taking time to visit.
