Our room at the castle was very nice and the spa facilities were excellent. We were disappointed that the guest of a 5 star hotel did not have access to the main restaurant Le Cerf (fully booked) and recommended the other restaurant Waldschanke which was was much, much below the 5star quality. The dining experience ruined our stay there. They should flag Le Cerf restaurant booking when accepting room reservations.

We were very impressed with the Wald & Schlosshotel and enjoyed our stay with them very much. The restaurants are fabulous-some of the best food we had in Germany. Our room was large ,well appointed, and very comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful- full of wonderful ammenities, a large tub and great shower. We were given an upgrade at check in-which was extremely generous. This hotel also has a beautiful spa and lovely grounds. Service was top notch as well. It is hard to believe that such a wonderful hotel-with 3 amazing restaurants-exists out in the middle of no where in Germany-but it does. And, we were very glad we found it! Thanks, Wald and Schlosshotel. You made our stay very memorable!
