We recently stayed at the EllBee hotel in Rishikesh for two nights, booked through the Expedia app. Despite the promising appearance on the Expedia website, our experience was mixed. The welcome drink, a sweet rose water concoction, was a nice touch. However, the overall hotel had an unpleasant smell and seemed poorly maintained.Upon entering our room, we encountered a musty odor, suggesting it might have been closed for an extended period. Despite this, the room did offer a good view of the Ganga. We faced issues with cleanliness, especially in the shower, bathtub, and toilet, but the staff promptly attended to our request for cleaning.We had to change rooms due to a malfunctioning shower, and the new room lacked blackout curtains, allowing unwanted light in at night. Additionally, the restriction of providing only one key card per room was inconvenient. The staff, particularly at the reception, could be more accommodating in this regard.While the hotel has potential with its Ganga views, improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service are needed for a more satisfactory stay."
