A really nice hotel room along route 66. Friendly staff and a quaint dog friendly stay next to the national park. We really enjoyed this place and would gladly stay if we make a return trip to El malpais.

The gentleman in the office upon my check-in was very kind and helpful! The room was so cozy with great amenities (microwave, fridge and freezer, coffee maker with real coffee - although I didn’t make any, it was appreciated), and a surprisingly spacious bathroom. The bed was super comfortable too! Vintage charm.

This place is a gem. If you are looking for the route 66 experience, this is it. Clean rooms, decorated with care, and pets stay free! In fact, our room had a blanket, food, and water bowls, and mat just for our dog. The owners and staff were very friendly and we had a good time chatting with them. The coffee set up in the room was great, too, with real ceramic mugs. Next time we drive Route 66, this is where we will stay.

Everything about this hotel is fantastic, some remodeling happening, but a great place to stay. Also close to a few very good restaurants instead of eating at fast food.

Very comfortable and clean room. Blankets and bed treatments were great for keeping warm in winter weather in addition the heater works great as well. Shower was nice and hot like I like it. Front desk gentleman was helpful and kind. He messaged me and communicated with me even though I arrived late. Get there before 12am to receive keys in hand.

Great owner
The motel was very easy to get to. It is an old motel but well kept and clean. Felt very safe in that area. Motel checkin was awesome. The owner was absolutely amazing and helpful.
