Besides clean room, simple amenities, I personally feel that the team of staffs hospitality is extremely important. Third trip to Penang this year, and has always been staying in Lyf and always felt very comfortable. Thanks to Nixon & his team !!

Our 3rd Trip coming back to PEN this year and have been staying in lyf all the time. What draws us back is not only the old heritage places, food & entertainments. Lyf team lead by their GM Nixen Chin always make you feel at ease and accommodative to their maximum capacity. Many of my friends felt the same and worth a try for yourself to verify my review of Lyf Georgetown.

New property in excellent location ! Entire team was so friendly and we even had the chance to meet the Hotel's GM Mr Nixon Chin who took care of us so extremely well! We invited him to join us for a evening drink nearby the hotel with us and really superb nice gentleman !! Highly recommend anyone planning to stay in Georgetown to stay in lyf Georgetown Penang !!

The hotel is very new, colourful and lively. Nice location right behind the Eastern oriental hotel, good access to food and main street. Hotel equipped with 24 hours indoor swimming pool and gym and good enough for some exercise.
One turn off is the view from the room, we were assigned for a room in inner section of the hotel which basically facing the wall and window of the opposite room. I think the front desk can do better as the outer room facing the street are mostly empty.

Lyf is upscale hostel. Hotels.com as many other properties, with this property, too,misclacify the property as a 4-star hotel. Rooms are extremely small, the bathroom is as big as you move around. In the shower you can hardly move around. Hotels.com misclacify the star rating for most of the listings.

The hotel is new and has potential, but there are a few areas that need improvement. The housekeeping was below expectations — there were some stains on the towel and slippers. We requested a replacement pair of slippers, but it took several calls before they were delivered, perhaps due to the late hour. The soundproofing is quite bad, since our room faced the street, there was a lot of traffic noise, almost like windows opened. We could also hear loud doors opening and closing from nearby rooms.
Overall, the stay was still okay, but with better housekeeping standards and improved soundproofing, the hotel could be much better.
