Leaking ceiling, some small fixes really could put the esthetics over this moon ie stains. Towels by doors for leaks. Cleaner was still cleaning our room and bringing things in after our check in time. We got late check out approved arranged for pick up and then got told we had to be out even though we already had the approval. Miss communication and honestly lack of communication and difficulties with quick contact with staff this stay could have been perfect with some professionalism. End of drive way wasn't plowed. We ended up having to park in a parkade U mins away and ubering over and back.

This was one of the coolest stays on our honeymoon roadtrip. You really can’t beat it if you’re staying in Halifax. We stayed in the penthouse suite and had a personal hot tub, sauna, double balcony, and breakfast delivered to the room each morning. Beautiful, modern, clean, and affordable for what you get. We highly recommend dinner at Bar Kismet nearby.

The room reminds me of a jail cell as there is no separation of the toilet or shower from the room. If you’d like to poop in peace don’t stay here as your options are to use the downstairs powder room. Had a terrible night sleep as you can hear everything and the person on the squeaky bed the floor above us. This is not a typical bed and breakfast. The instructions told us the host would be here until 5pm and we arrived at 4:45 and had to learn about the house ourselves. Instructions said our names would be on the room doors and nothing. The mattress feels like a futon on a steel frame that is also noisy.

This hotel promised a lot but was a bit disappointing. All the doors, inside and out, were difficult to open, or broken, the bathroom was also home to the boiler at head-hitting height, and the washer / dryer. There was no where to place your clothes in the bathroom. The towels had not been laundered properly and smelt funky. The complimentary coffee bar only supplied one coffee at breakfast. The walls and ceiling were thin and we were woken at 3:30 am by loud noises from the room above. Positives were, the bed was surprisingly comfy for a simple metal frame bed, the location was quiet and suburban and they did make efforts to accommodate our gluten intolerance. The one cup of coffee we got was very nice too!

This is a unique and beautiful property and a quiet, relaxing getaway. The view from the Penthouse is amazing. Besides the duvet blanket the room and kitchen area was very clean. The breakfast was delicious and made especially for us to fit our dietary needs. We had some trouble with the shower, tub and motorized blinds but it wasn't a huge deal.

We used the sauna and it was great. We had trouble opening front door. Took us a few tries before we got it. Needs some handy work done on doors. Too many stairs for us. Would have liked a door on our bathroom. The small handle in shower needs tightening as was very loose. Not to our liking.
