Poor maintenance and housekeeping

Serious issues with poor maintenance and housekeeping plague this hotel. The first room we were given, the carpetnwas soaking wet. The second roon stunk like a washing machine that had wet clothes in it for a month. After two additional room attempts, one that was clean and odor free was located. The hotel location is not great. It is a 15 minute walk to the train station and there is no bus. The hotel says it is an airport option, bit its a train ride and long walk to get there and they do not offer a shuttle. The breakfast is just okay. The coffee is mediocre. The staff in the lobby and bar are lovely and super helpful. The issues with this hotel stem from poor management and bad housekeeping.

Wish we had known that the train from Airport or City Center is so close. First taxi ride to get there was 30euros. Front desk told us about the train- very helpful thereafter and cost effective!! This location will be fantastic once all the construction around it is completed. Thanks!

You don’t get the room you specifically requested months in advance. You don’t get in until well after check in time. They make huge fuss if you just want to grab a coffee from their free continental breakfast room! Would never stay here again. Also no hotel should have rooms in the basement and think that guests will be ok with that

AVOID!!! Not close to the AirPort. Public transportation at 15 min walking in a neghborhood full of construcciones with no seguro tu to salí through. No place to est nesrby, no pedestrisn roads because of construction. If you need to be close to the AirPort lot of better options are close to Schipol. No water in room and breakfast really basic. Staff not friendly and they charged 10 euros more at checkout.

Pros - Lovely hotel and excellent staff. Good breakfast. Well located for local train station. Quiet, clean and very comfortable. Cons - no kitchen, so lunch / dinner is brought in (pizza). Lots of building work surrounding the hotel, which can make it muddy when walking to the hotel.

Excellent customer service from Maria. Due to allergies to smells, I didn’t appreciate the artificial scent in the lobby. Please be mindful that a lot of people have sensitivity issues that are caused from TOXIC air Fresheners! Good Breakfast, limited options if you are VEGAN 🌱 , perhaps some baked beans on buffet would have helped. Music selection in breakfast room first thing in the morning was irritating, blaring rock and pop. Gentle music would be more appropriate to the senses, especially while waking up and eating breakfast. Room is stock standard and worn, but does the job. Curtains were stained or ripped. Bed sunken in the middle but still comfortable. Shower grouting needed bleach as it was full of mould, and bathroom sink didn’t drain properly. But as long as you have somewhere to sleep and shower, it’s ok because you are not really there for the hotel room. Overall an average experience.
